Texas Wild Hog Control is fully insured and was established to assist federal and state agencies, counties, Mud Districts, HOAs, school districts, corporations, and private residences with feral hog removal. We are experienced wildlife control experts using the most state-of-the-art trapping methods and tools available on the market. The destructive nature and potential for spreading disease make the feral hog a considerable liability to us, agriculture and livestock. Texas Wild Hog Control was established in 2018 by Edward Dickey who saw a desperate need in protecting not only agriculture but native wildlife in Texas. Edward grew up hunting and trapping on the Gulf Coastal Plains of Texas with his father and worked for a hunting guide service as a teenager. He is an expert with over 35 years of experience dealing with native wildlife and invasive species such as wild hogs.

"On February 15, 2022, we purchased a "whole home" warranty from Critter Control. They came out, inspected the entire home, and recommended the "whole home" warranty as the best solution because it comes with a 10-year warranty against future animal entry. On May 22, 2023, we sent in a photo showing where an animal had torn open the siding to get under the house. We asked them to send out a crew to fix it. Crews were sent out on May 30, June 15, and August 10. Before each of these visits, I called the office to personally verify what the crew was planning to do and that they had the information and time they would need to complete the work (we had consistently had past experiences where the crews came out unprepared). Each time, I was assured that they had what they needed. Each time, the crew showed up and was unable to solve the problem because they said that the notes on the job were inadequate and they were unprepared. On July 13 at 2:30 pm, I spoke with the manager to clear up confusion about whether fixing the issue should involve replacing the damaged siding or simply screwing a piece of sheet metal over the hole. The manager and I agreed that, according to the contract, the damage was covered by warranty and that it should be replaced with the correct material. After repeated follow-ups to get the service scheduled, the manager emailed on Sep. 8 claiming that, because the wood was old, it had been easier for the animal to gain entry, and therefore it was not covered. This is despite the fact that Critter Control inspected the home in detail and recommended the "Whole Home" service specifically because future animal entry was likely on an old home and the "Whole Home" service would cover it by warranty. They are now simultaneously asserting that 1) With old wood, they are not obligated to warrant against animal entry, and 2) covering the hole with sheet metal fulfills their obligation under the warranty to protect against animal entry."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Yes, honey bees can sting, but they typically only do it when they feel their hive is threatened. When honey bees are away from their hive, they’re focused on foraging for pollen and nectar, making them unlikely to sting. Only female honey bees, called workers, have stingers, and they will die if they need to use them. Generally, if left undisturbed, honey bees will leave you alone.

DIY removal risks harming bees and you. Professionals offer safe and effective solutions protecting both parties.

Probably not. Many imitation nests are meant to be hung from trees or other tall places, but not all yellow jackets nest up high—most species, such as the common yellow jacket and the southern yellow jacket, build nests in the ground.

Early spring or late fall removals are ideal when bees are less active, and hive removal is safer.

You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.

Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
