"I had a small job replace tile in my master bathroom. I had a few other people come out who wouldn't bid on the project. Empire did and set up install two days later. The installers were nice. They quoted me 4 hours however ended up taking much longer than they expected and I think they ended up rushing at the end which one tile seems a bit uneven and there is a lot of excess grout left on the edges. But was able to clean it up pretty easily. I may have them come fix the tile 2 year warranty on the labor which is pretty nice."

"Over a 30 year period, the grout between my tiles had acquired a dark mineral stain.  I showed the owner a patch of tile/grout under some furniture that had never seen the light of day.  I told him I wanted all the grout on my tiled floors to look like the pristine grout I had shown him. He said that's what they do -- and did.
While the service sounds pricey, you get exactly what you pay for. Stanley Steamer and Dalworth can give your tiled floors a good steam cleaning, but they will never restore your grout to it's original color if that's what you want.  Grout Guys did.  My neighbors' jaws literally dropped when they came by afterward and saw the difference.

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Regrouting is cheaper than retiling, and it involves less work. Grout is available in a wide range of colors, making it a cost-effective way to improve the look of any tiled area in your home.

You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.

If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

Professional installation ensures a uniform, durable surface, and proper sealing, and guarantees workmanship quality, preventing future issues linked to water damage or instability.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.
