"We hired Nature’s Edge Waterscapes to build a 10x10 pond specifically for our ducks, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! They listened to exactly what we wanted and designed the pond with our ducks in mind. We chose not to add landscaping around the pond since we knew the ducks would just destroy it, and they did a great job keeping the design simple, natural, and functional. The pond turned out beautiful, and our ducks absolutely love it! We would definitely recommend Nature’s Edge Waterscapes to anyone looking for a quality pond or water feature."

"Installed 99’ of French drain. We met on a Sunday and the work was completed the following Tuesday. I was most impressed by their effort in cleaning up the work area. Getting all the clay picked up and hauled off took some serious effort, but they got it done.” 10/10 would use them again."

"Noe and his crew did a great job. He worked with us in selecting the plants and took the time to explain what he thought would work. They paid attention to details and it turned out even better then we expected. We have received several compliments from our neighbors, and I will contact them again when we redo our backyard."

"The crew was a bit sloppy when Joe wasn't around, but he had them return to re-do a few places and clean off areas where the concrete/mortar should not have been placed. There wasn't anything than couldn't be fixed."

"We couldn't be happier with our deck. It has added so much usable square footage to our house. Suburbia Oasis' attention to detail shows down to every nail, every joint. But what's probably their greatest asset is their attention to customer service. Something that's not easy to come by in this category.
This project began when my wife and I decided to finally do something about our giant wooden deck that was 1) taking up way too much of our yard, 2) requiring way too much maintenance, and 3) too good of a home for pests.
Suburbia Oasis was on our short list because their reputation preceded them. Once we met with them, we knew why. They came to our house to look around, and found time to do it on OUR terms, not theirs ? a theme that would continue throughout the project. When we gave Doug (the artistic arm of the operation) our long list of needs and wants, he again found a time when it was convenient for us to sit down and talk it through, walking us through his rationale and making changes on the fly in his design software. He was very deliberate about the choices he made, and showed us how the choices we would make would affect the overall aesthetic. He also showed us the range of what we could get for more ? and less ? money.
Once Doug handed the plans off to John and Isaac (the implementation arms), the commitment to customer service continued. They went out of their way to make sure they weren't disturbing our family. We couldn't believe their speed. They demolished the existing deck within a couple days, and had begun laying the foundation for the new one within a week. A few more days and the roof was up, including framing, decking, shingles, etc. It wasn't long after that, and we had reached our deadline, and they were finished.
At every step of the way, John made sure to call and see if we had questions. He didn't wait for us to bring them up. He anticipated what we might be thinking, what we might be concerned about, and headed us off with a phone call. Even as his team was going above and beyond what they had originally promised to do (along the way we also decided it'd be nice to stain the fence, repair the gate, and do a couple other odds and ends things that weren't on the initial list), John was reassuring, steady-handed, and never seemed nervous about turning things around in time.
I'd recommend Suburbia Oasis to anyone who wants a gorgeous outdoor escape at their home. Especially if you want the experience getting there to be equally as pleasant.

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

The bacteria already present in your septic system should be enough to break down solids in a properly maintained septic tank. However, if you’re in a DIY mood, you can try adding (well-mashed) rotten tomatoes to help the good bacteria fulfill their duty. Just make sure you give them a couple hours to work after flushing them down.

The best times of year to pump or empty a septic tank are spring and fall. Many professionals recommend spring because the ground has thawed, making the tank easier to access, and any snowmelt or rainfall can aid in proper drainage. Pumping before summer is also ideal to avoid conflicts with vacations or outdoor gatherings.

Fall is another great option, as contractors may be less busy than in the spring. Servicing the tank in late fall or early spring can also reduce the risk of overflow from extra precipitation during winter and spring.

While summer is a possibility, winter is generally not recommended. The ground is often frozen, which can make it difficult to access the tank, and the waste inside may also be frozen.

Septic tanks can clog if they aren’t pumped every few years since solid waste accumulates inside of them. Your tank might also clog if you have a habit of flushing anything other than human waste or toilet paper. Items like diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, cat litter, and personal hygiene products should never go down your pipes.

Your septic tank naturally contains the beneficial bacteria it needs to function, so you typically don't need to add more. However, if you wish to replenish the bacteria, you can use natural methods. For example, you can add three overripe tomatoes to your garbage disposal or flush 1/4 ounce of active yeast down the toilet every three months. While store-bought septic enzymes and chemicals are available, many experts consider them unnecessary and potentially harmful. The most effective way to maintain a healthy bacteria population is to avoid using chemical drain cleaners, which can kill the good bacteria in your system.

There are three layers of wastewater in a septic tank: scum (solid waste that floats to the top of the wastewater), liquid (the relatively clean liquid wastewater in between the two other layers), and sludge (solid waste that falls to the bottom of the wastewater). The buildup of sludge is one of the main reasons septic tanks need to be pumped. If the tank is more than 1/3 of the way full with a combination of sludge and scum, it’s time to call a pro for pumping.
