"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"I recommended this company to a friend since I moved with them before. He called them and they paid him a visit to assess his move. He lived in a small building without elevator thus moving the furniture would be a little complicated. At the end of the day he moved without any issue, his furniture and appliances arrived in destination safe and with no damages. Everything was properly packed and protected. My friend called me and told me his experience gratefully."

"This was a great experience, moving. The movers were in constant contact with us. They moved the schedule to accommodate us. They showed up on time, were very careful and efficient, worked very fast and constantly asked for direction from us. They also helped us dispose of things we did not want."

Moving questions, answered by experts

The most expensive part of moving is hiring professional movers. However, hiring a pro is more efficient and less stressful, so many people find the cost worth it. You’ll also spend a lot of money on packing supplies, including boxes, tape, and bubble wrap, so ask around to see if any friends or family members have old supplies you can use for free.

Moving insurance helps protect your belongings from damage or loss during the moving process. This policy can help reimburse you either part of or the total amount of your belongings that become damaged during the moving process. Moving insurance has three main options: full value protection, released value protection, and third-party or separate liability coverage. Speak with your moving company to determine what is covered under each policy and their cost to determine the best fit for your needs.

You don’t want to put anything on top of your mirror when you move it. You also want to limit the possibility that something heavy will fall on the glass and shatter it. For this reason, it’s not a good idea to lay a mirror flat in the moving truck.

Planning ahead is essential—this will give you the chance to coordinate your move during weekends or after business hours, and set up essential services in your new office before moving day to minimize downtime. Start by creating a detailed timeline and checklist for every phase of the move, from packing to unpacking. Inform your employees, clients, and vendors about the move well in advance, including any expected disruptions and how you plan to manage them. Delegate responsibilities to ensure all aspects of the move are covered. Lastly, set up the essentials at the new location first to resume operations quickly.

The first step in moving a house is to provide blueprints and assess which parts of the house you can move. The next steps are obtaining permits, inspecting the structure, securing road permits, and getting bank approval.

When it's time to move, professionals can prepare the house by disconnecting utilities, removing items, and adding support braces. The house is then lifted with steel beams, jacked up, and placed on dollies for transport. Once it’s at the new location, it gets lowered onto the new foundation, utilities get reconnected, and additional features, like porches or garages, are added.
