"When Greg arrived to review the project, he was very clear that they may not be able to lift my driveway where it met the street curb if it was dowelled into the street concrete. But I insisted they try it anyway. Sure enough he was correct, but we did get some improvement further up the driveway. The front walkway was a terrible tripping hazard due to tree roots and Southern Concrete Raising lifted and leveled the sections perfectly level and smooth. The crew was on time, professional, and thoroughly cleaned up work sites. Well done!"

"My house is up on blocks and needed to be leveled and some beams replaced. Deep Rock Foundation is a very good company to do any foundation job you have. I give them a 5 Star But a company is as good as the people who work for them. Ben and his crew were the best. Ben presented himself in a very professional manner. He is very personable and easy to talk to, he knows his stuff. Ben is not pushy as far as if he knows you have a certain budget, he doesnâ t make you feel guilty or anything if you canâ t afford a certain foundation work. He will tell you what you need and even give you maybe an option like plan A, B, or C. Sometimes we are not financially able to spend a certain amount or want to finance it and option B is better for now and knowing that the company is a great company go back to them at a later time and do the rest of the work. Ben was here most of the job which I like, because he knew what I wanted and I didnâ t have to explain things to different people he saw the project from beginning to the end. Which is a big plus in my eyes. Ben will help you anyway he can, I even had one of my dogs that got out of the fence and Ben went running after her and got her for me instead of just standing there and letting her run off. He has tremendous patient with kids, my toddler granddaughter just became good friends with him and she ask him tons of repeated questions and he never loss his cool he would repeatably answer her same questions when she was around him. The Crew were very polite and did a great job. At the end of the project, they clean up the area spotless and took all the trash away. I give Deep Rock Foundation a 5 Star and Ben and his crew a 10 Star. When my house needs to be re-leveled years from now, I will go back to Deep Rock Foundation because I had a great experience with them and I know you will also"

"    Ty Stricklan and Fix My Slab did a very good job for me in repairing some slab settlement on my house which happened due to the Texas drought in the past two years. When I first contacted him, he made an appointment to come out to my house just a few days later. He examined the house slab outside and inside. I had already hired a professional structural engineer previously who had given me a complete report and a drawing showing where the engineer believed the 17 piers should be installed. I showed the engineer's drawing to Ty and we discussed what the installation of 17 piers would entail and when the work could be done. I told Ty that I didn't want any interior piers installed because the engineer's drawing didn't call for that. Nor did I want to have to repair my front porch which is constructed of bricks I could not find any more. He told me that he would follow the plan of the engineer's drawing. He also said that tunnels could be dug under the brick front porch which would eliminate any need to drill through the bricks. I was adamant that my slab be repaired quickly because I plan to put my house on the market for sale by the month's end.
Just two and a half weeks after signing the contract, Ty's Fix My Slab came to my house to begin work. They arrived promptly at 8AM as scheduled and began their work. They assured me that the work would not take more than two full days. They worked steadily all day on Tuesday of this week until it began to get dark. The crew of 5 or so men didn't even leave for lunch, but ate their lunches on the front lawn. On Wednesday, the Fix My Slab crew returned again early in the morning and resumed their work. A few hours after lunch, Ty came to my house and said he needed to come into my house again with his equipment to take measurement while the house was being leveled. This process continued for some time until Ty told me that he believed the house was level. I checked on a crack in the tile of my master bathroom while the foundation was being leveled and was delighted to see that most of it was closed up. What was left, was now a hair line crack that could be easily caulked. After the leveling was finished, Ty asked me to go outside and consult with his foreman as his crew began the clean up procedures to make sure they did what I wanted. This clean up went smoothly. The crew even distributed some excess dirt to other parts of my yard where the ground around trees had been sinking due to the drought. I signed off on the work and paid Fix My Slab the final half of their bill.
I appreciated the reasonable price and the promptness of getting my foundation repaired. Mr. Sticklan and his manager, Raul, and the other members of his crew were easy to work with. They were all polite and professional. They left my yard in good condition. Despite a problem we had the first day when my outside electrical plugs were not working, the Fix My Slab crew were able to work around this issue until we found out where the GFIs needed to be reset. I would recommend Fix My Slab to other home owners needing foundation work done.

"When we purchased our home in 2017, there was already a crack across the top 2 segments of the driveway where that area had sunk quite a bit. Besides the cosmetic issue, we felt this subsidence was also a tripping hazard. After researching online and using Angi, I found GROUNDWORKS (formerly FSS: Foundation Support Specialists) who came out to give an estimate. Ricardo showed up on time with advanced warning of his ETA. He was thorough and left me with a color-coded bid. Some of the driveway and sidewalk leading to the front door were going to be lifted, and some parts stabilized using the foam injection method. Even though I received bids from 2 other companies, I chose GROUNDWORKS for their 5-year warranty and mid-level pricing. All companies were 4.5 stars or higher on both Google and Angi. On the job day, they arrived on time. The job was completed in about 2 hours. I am very happy with the results."

"We had an issue with the foundation of our home moving. Due to the freeze of 2021 and the rains that followed the soil between the homeâ s foundation beams and the bed rock began to shift. We noticed cracks in our ceiling and the garage floor. We contacted various contractors but quickly settled with Hercules Foundation. Allen Alexander of Hercules Foundation came to our house, measured the distances from level, assessed the damage and proposed the work needed to be performed and the timing. Hercules Foundation would be responsible for all permits required and obtain markings of the utility lines and finally the inspection and approval of the City Engineers. The price quoted was competitive. The work comes with a Life Time Warranty and is transferrable in the event we would sell our home. The work compromised included installing 18 piers, around the areas of the house that required leveling, the digging of the holes, removal of river rock and flagstone in parts of the back yard. The time quoted for completion was three (3) days. Considering the amount of work required I found this to be somewhat optimistic. The team that completed the work was managed by Michael Sanchez. I have rarely experienced a team that was so professional, safety consciousness, patient with our constant questioning, punctual, trust in each other and the work they were doing, and the way they performed the work as a team. It is a team that is loyal to each our and Hercules Foundation. Michael Sanchezâ s son is being deployed to The Ukraine. God bless him and all US Service men and women. When reviewing the work performed another amazing observation was that it looked clean and as if nothing was done."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
