BesTex Plumbing

Best Tex Plumbing was sent to our home by our home warranty company. They told us we needed new pipes under our home because our pipes were old and would have problems due to their age. On August 5th Best Tex Plumbing “replaced” our pipes under our home for $2000.00. They did not pull a permit and did not give us a receipt from their company. I suppose they do this to limit their liability with no paper trail. Here we are three months later. We had a stoppage at the washer. The home warranty company sent another company out who said all the plumbing was installed incorrectly and did not have the appropriate parts for pipes under a home. I called another plumbing company out for a second opinion. They agreed that the plumbing installation was wrong. Now we need new plumbing again. Please do your self a favor and do not do business with Best Tex plumbing. They talk a good game and reassure you they work with integrity. This could not be further from the truth! If I could give them a ZERO, I would.

I’ve used Bestex plumbing for every plumbing issue I’ve had and they have always been able to diagnose and fix the problem in a timely manner. I recently just had my gas water heater burners go off and I called one of the plumbers before even dispatching any one out they walked me through how to try and fix it my self if it was something simple. Sadly it did not fix the issue but rather they sent a plumber the next day to my house and and he diagnosed it has the control valve was starting to go bad he got my water heater back to running and also ordered me a new valve shipped to my house at no cost to me at all. I have so many stories of them fixing plumbing issues at my house and family members houses. There truly is nothing that these guys can’t do and I stand by that statement!

If I could give them a zero I would. They were dispatched from my home warranty to come fix a leak, twice. The plumber stated he did not find any leaks, however he never went under my house. My house is on pier and beam so there is crawl space he actively chose not to go under. When I called to the office to complain. They stated they would have to get with the plumber to hear his side. He stated he used his channel locks to stop the leak, but he told me he didn't see a leak. 3 weeks later I have 2 drain leaks and active water supple line leak under the house that he would have found he went under there. Now there is more damage to my subfloors and hardwood

AHS required BestTex Plumbing company who came and broke faucets, never finished, and left toilet leaking flooding downstairs garage. Never returned voicemails to return after promises to do so.

Overcharged for repairing pipes and left the job unfinished. Also recommended remodeling work done by an employee. He did half the work and stole property. lost 2k.

There was a miscommunication initially, I thought they were coming out on a Friday to do the repair work. They thought there were coming out to provide a bid only.  My water softener was being installed the following Wednesday and I needed the work done prior to that.  

BesTex Plumbing literally showed up at the same time the water softener company showed up to do the installation. Everything went downhill from there. The plumber took so long to do the required work the water softener company finished their installation and left without being able to turn up the water softener.

To be fair I need to mention the plumbing in my house is older and apparently damages quite easily. By the time the plumber was finished I had to have three more leaks repaired and my dishwasher was not placed back in the cabinet correctly.  I called the owner and spoke with him, he was professional and courteous and agreed to send someone else out to correct the issues left by the previous technician.  The 2nd technician came out, he was also professional and courteous and identified the problems and corrected them quickly and to my satisfaction.  

I wound up paying about $400 more than initially agreed upon due to other leaks that happened when the first technician was working on the plumbing. I was not happy about that but like I said, the plumbing is old. Then I had to have someone else come out to correct one leak the first technician caused and to reinstall the dishwasher into the cabinet correctly.

The owner made everything good in the long run but I would probably not use this company again.
