"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."

"They’ve done an OK job replacing the old wooden frame of the patio roof and refinishing wooden deck. However, the quality of the roof cover and gutters was awful, despite of multiple complaints from my side. I had to completely replace their roof cover (hired “Cover your Pergola” guys, whom I very much recommend), replaced the roof flashing myself and now replacing the gutters. This is because the quality of work by Astro Remodeling was very poor - the roof and gutters started leaking a lot. I think it’s not because of a lack of trying, but due to a lack of skills. Next time I’ll do more research and hire professional guys even if they cost more"
