"Dylan was extremely polite however the initial quality of the work was not satisfactory. I had to have them back to rework almost everything A front flower bed was to be completely cleared out to lay grass seed. There were dozens of thick shrub roots still in the ground that would have just regrown. He did come back and till the area. By accident he also backed into and destroyed my mailbox. He straightened it up and I had a replacement box but it is not the same state as before. I also had him replace wood on a small deck. The end pieces were raw cut & had to ask to have them sanded along with a few other issues."

"They were prompt and professional in appearance and manner. When told what we were needing done, they looked the job over and told us what would be required to complete the job and the best way we could save money on the project. Gave us a list of materials and gave us a date that they could begin. Job was completed quicker than anticipated saving us more money and we are very satisfied with the work that they did for us. We will definitely have them back to work on other projects in the future."

"They completed a few projects on my vacation spot. I don’t live in the area, but felt at ease because I was updated with details, pictures and a video of what was being done along the way. I totally recommend them. Quick and super friendly!!"

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

While Christmas lights are a wonderful way to light up your home during the holiday season, they don’t have a long lifespan. Most incandescent Christmas light bulbs are designed to last between 1,000 and 1,500 hours—or about one to three holiday seasons. More durable LED bulbs should last about 10 times as long.

If you only need strands in safe and easy-to-reach locations and are sure of your electrical system, you can probably purchase and install lights yourself. To do this, carefully test your outlets to ensure there aren’t any sparks or other concerning issues. Your budget might also influence this decision, as going the DIY route can be significantly cheaper.

Yes, a holiday lighting installation can be a DIY project. While it is possible for homeowners to do it themselves, it's crucial to ensure all safety precautions are taken. This includes using the proper tools, following electrical safety guidelines, and carefully planning the layout. For large or high displays, professional installation is often recommended to ensure safety and a more polished appearance.

Ensure you have a safe environment for them to work on, and there aren’t items such as logs, build-up of yard materials, missing or damaged shingles, and weak areas on the roof. Communicate any known electrical issues with contractors at the beginning of the project, and consider hiring an electrician to fix those. Finally, if you are attempting the project yourself, do so when there isn’t any rain, and you can safely get your footing on the roof using proper equipment, such as an extension ladder. Don’t attempt this alone, and have a helper nearby to assist.

Outdoor Christmas lights cost between $80 to $300 on average without installation. This comes out to about $4 to $50 per strand. You can get a box of outdoor Christmas lights for as little as $20, if you just want to decorate a small area, like a doorway. If you want to go all out and cover your entire home, you'll need between 10 to 20 strands of 100 to 200 bulbs each.
