"Nashville Painting Company was recommended to us by Romabio to paint ("stain" I guess?) our brick house white. They came out quick for the quote, and despite us deciding to move forward with the job nearly 6 months later they still honored the quote and got us on the schedule quickly. It was originally thought our red brick would only require 2 coats of white tinted Romabio (Sherwin Williams "Greek Villa") but after the 2nd coat it was clear that the coverage wasn't enough and they very quickly worked to rectify with another coat. They also painting our foundation and our porch without issue. We had a color match issue during the porch painting (very likely our fault based on paint samples the previous owner left in the house), but NPC again fixed the problem very quickly and we were left with a perfect porch. The communication is exceptional from beginning to end. Highly recommend to anyone."

"They showed up on time when they said they would with all the right equipment to get the job done. They hand sanded the entire fence removing all dirt and rust. Then they applied a liberal coat of oil based premium paint. After painting the entire fence they went back and meticulously went over every inch making sure that there were no missed spots. They cleaned up everything and carried away all their trash when they left. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation and would rehire them in a heartbeat. They were a pleasure to work with."

"We discovered a leak in our half-bath that ended up damaging the flooring and subfloor. We decided to take the opportunity to replace the vanity and update the flooring as well. I hired Quinta Contractors for the project, and they exceeded my expectations. I purposely waited close to a year before posting this to make sure the work stood the test of time. Everything still looks great! Bryan was excellent throughout the process, helping me plan the repairs and upgrades in detail. The plumbers and flooring specialists he brought in were exceptional, skilled, professional, and easy to work with. Bryan stayed involved from start to finish, checking in at each stage to make sure I was satisfied with the progress. I’d gladly contact Bryan and the Quinta team again for any future remodeling needs."

"I recently hired Music City Improvements for an interior painting and wall paneling project, and I couldn't be more impressed! From start to finish, their team was professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly skilled. The interior painting was flawless—sharp lines, smooth finishes, and perfect color application that transformed my space. They helped me choose the right shades to match my décor and ensured everything was clean and precise. The wall paneling work was equally stunning. Their craftsmanship added a level of sophistication to my home that exceeded my expectations. Every panel was installed with care, creating a seamless and polished look. Beyond the quality of their work, their team was punctual, friendly, and respectful of my home, leaving everything spotless when they finished. Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Routine cleaning, sealing/staining, and inspection prolong deck life and appearance.

You’ll want to avoid excessively hot or humid conditions, so it’s best to apply your stain in late spring to early fall. It's also important to watch the weather forecast and aim for days when there isn’t rain expected for at least three days. For new decks, allow the wood to season beforehand for at least four to eight weeks.

Ultimately, overapplication of stain can compromise the deck's appearance, durability, and longevity. It may result in an uneven finish, with excess stain pooling, dripping, or drying into thick patches. It can also obscure the wood's natural grain and texture, detracting from the desired aesthetic. Moreover, excessive staining may not fully penetrate the wood, leading to poor adhesion and premature wear. Additionally, thick layers of stain are prone to peeling, cracking, and blistering as they struggle to bond with the surface.

No, you don't need to stain Ipe decking, although you can if you want to change the color. You will, however, need to apply a UV coating if you don't want the natural color to fade. Speak to a deck staining specialist near you to discuss the best options if you want to stain your decking. And remember that you’ll need to seal your Ipe wood deck annually to protect it from scratches and Mother Nature.

Yes, pressure-treated wood can occasionally turn green due to certain preservatives, such as copper-based chemicals, used during the treatment process. These chemicals react with the wood, creating a greenish tint. The good news? It's temporary, and the color will fade over time. Staining or painting can also help hide any unwanted hues.
