"We hired Vincent to paint our fence and it looks amazing! He completed the task in a timely manner and it looks great! So happy with our decision and he was willing to execute our vision! (Green on the inside and brown on the outside) would definitely hire again!"

"KMG Restoration were extremely reliable, fast, & knowledgeable. They power washed my townhome, sidewalk, driveway, front of the garage (and did some repair work on the garage door also), the front porch and the patio around back - and again did some repair and painting on the back door. They worked with my schedule & needs. They do so much more than power washing!!! Call them for big & small repairs, painting, and help on home projects. Kevin and his son Chris were outstanding. Thanks again guys Debbie"

"Dennis and his team did an excellent job. We are updating our house to sell in the spring and needed most of our first floor painted. We were first impressed with Dennis' response time and helpful suggestions to save money. He always arrived on time and prepared. We were very pleased with the results and would absolutely hire Progressive Painting again."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

You have a couple of options when choosing a durable pool deck coating. Epoxy is common and offers excellent stain and water resistance. Epoxy also withstands high temperatures and UV lighting, making it ideal for sunny spots. You can also add a coating to cement, which significantly lowers the temperature of the concrete, is environmentally safe, and makes cleanup a breeze.

Always sand a deck before repainting so the wood is smooth and ready for paint. While you do not need to fully remove paint before repainting, sanding helps remove any areas with weather and sun damage. Sanding also helps remove chipped or flaking paint and opens the wood pores to improve paint adhesion.

It’s often best to spray on deck sealer. Sprayers can apply sealant more quickly and evenly than rolling while still enabling you to reach tight spaces. When using a sprayer, always use a low-pressure setting at a close distance to ensure an even application. Avoid using sprayers on windy days.

You can use latex or acrylic paint outdoors. Although acrylic paint tends to last longer outside, it also costs more, so if you’re painting the outside of your house, for instance, latex paint is often a go-to option. However, acrylic will be your best choice if you want to spend some extra money for added durability.

You’ll want to avoid excessively hot or humid conditions, so it’s best to apply your stain in late spring to early fall. It's also important to watch the weather forecast and aim for days when there isn’t rain expected for at least three days. For new decks, allow the wood to season beforehand for at least four to eight weeks.
