"Upon inspection, we were shown, via computer, the conditions currently existing and the manner in which AFS would proceed to correct the situation. The decision was made to proceed, a contract signed electronically and a deposit was requested and submitted. The inspector indicated he was having electronic difficulties; was unable to print a copy of the contract, but would submit it as soon as possible. This required several phone calls and a threat to cancel before a copy of the contract was received by email. When the crew arrived the foreman handed us a statement for the full amount of the contract. There was nothing indicated for the deposited amount. That required additional contacts by the foreman to correct the situation. (This was an extremely "shocking" development considering the previous circumstances regarding the paperwork!) The crew did what they could in replacing a pillar under the house but could not bring the floor back to level. They were afraid to use hydraulic jacks unless I would take responsibility for damage. They lifted the foundation approx. 3/4" on the southwest corner of the house bringing it back to level. The work done by the crew was totally acceptable and the foreman did a very good job when explaining exactly what was occurring. As requested by the foreman prior to their departure, , a check was submitted for the balance remaining."

"I hired Charlie to replace a balcony at our lake house that was not built properly originally. Charlie performed the walkthrough when he said he would (no one was at the house at the time) and provided me a quote within two days along with a copy of his business license, insurance, and BBB rating (A+). We discussed what all needed to be done over the phone since I live in OH and the house is in TN and scheduled a time to meet in person. Charlie showed up right on time and we walked through what needed to be done. I showed him some other deck repairs that needed to be made and he was honest about what needed attention and what did not. He started the project on the exact date he said he would and finished it on time using proper materials and structural engineering. I am now much more confident in the safety of both the balcony and deck. While discussing the balcony, I asked him if he also did flooring (which he does) so he quoted me on installing 700sqft of LVT. He allowed my wife and me to choose and purchase the material but gave us direction on what to look for in quality flooring. He completed the project on time and sent me pictures of the finished product. He was careful to put the furniture back in the right spots and put felt pads on all furniture feet without me even asking. He also adjusted the molding so that quarter round was not needed. The flooring looks great and I could not tell, outside of the flooring, that he had even been there. I will definitely use Charlie and Handy Chucks for all of my home improvement needs not only due to the quality of his work but also because he is so trustworthy. He did all of the work while I was in OH and made sure the house was locked and the alarm was armed each night. I know this because both are tied to the Internet and I can monitor them from my phone. Charlie is a true professional and it was a pleasure working with him. Price is what you pay. Value is what you receive. With Charlie, I received an excellent value."

"Make sure the person giving the estimate explains exactly what it looks like. They did not bring their own water to mix the cement. We had to remove the water tank so that they could work and ended up hauling water from the neighbors house."

"The man who did my foundation repair (removed rotted timber from under front door and installed new rot proof wood, then added concrete facing) was competent and friendly. He insured that the job was long lasting and secure. The front porch had sunken over time. His concrete facing was installed in such a way that future leveling of the porch will be difficult."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."
