Handy Chucks did our kitchen re-do, replacing all cabinets along with the flooring on the 1st & 2nd floor and did a GREAT job. Not only did they show up to start when they said they would, they arrived on time on each and every work day. Workers Russ & David did an excellent job of keeping us updated on everything they were doing as the job progressed, and even made suggestions on some extras that were needed (actually needed, not an up-sell). At the end of the day, EVERYTHING was cleaned up before they left for the day. Everyone at Handy Chucks was very personable and easy to talk to. They responded to any questions and/or concerns we had with easy to understand explanations. I would trust Handy Chucks with any other home remodeling jobs we may have in the future, big or small. In fact, wait on their bid on a second small job I need done.

Went above and beyond on all fronts

Handy Chuck, LLC lied and tried to deny that they worked with us after reading our review. We provided proof to Angie and our review was allowed to stand. If that doesn't say enough about their character and discourage you to work with them then please read on for a description of their work. Abhorrent customer service and terrible quality of work. Large Gaps in seams and corners of sheetrock work, all of the sheetrock they installed or patched is wavy and looks terrible, there are large gaps in the corners of front porch stairs they built, base of stairs not cemented in ground, kitchen window that they framed is not even close to square. Interior doors hung crooked and scrub the floor in some places and have a 2" gap in others were poorly installed. He left the job for over a week with no explanation prior. Chuck is arrogant, unskilled, made racist comments and did not work well with other subcontractors. He went out of his way to make things difficult for them. Absolutely not worth the risk.

Installed fence and replaced leaky shower, toilet and faucet. Very pleased with quality of work which was done in a timely manner and within budget. He worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. Would definitely use his services again.

I hired Charlie to replace a balcony at our lake house that was not built properly originally. Charlie performed the walkthrough when he said he would (no one was at the house at the time) and provided me a quote within two days along with a copy of his business license, insurance, and BBB rating (A+). We discussed what all needed to be done over the phone since I live in OH and the house is in TN and scheduled a time to meet in person. Charlie showed up right on time and we walked through what needed to be done. I showed him some other deck repairs that needed to be made and he was honest about what needed attention and what did not. He started the project on the exact date he said he would and finished it on time using proper materials and structural engineering. I am now much more confident in the safety of both the balcony and deck. While discussing the balcony, I asked him if he also did flooring (which he does) so he quoted me on installing 700sqft of LVT. He allowed my wife and me to choose and purchase the material but gave us direction on what to look for in quality flooring. He completed the project on time and sent me pictures of the finished product. He was careful to put the furniture back in the right spots and put felt pads on all furniture feet without me even asking. He also adjusted the molding so that quarter round was not needed. The flooring looks great and I could not tell, outside of the flooring, that he had even been there. I will definitely use Charlie and Handy Chucks for all of my home improvement needs not only due to the quality of his work but also because he is so trustworthy. He did all of the work while I was in OH and made sure the house was locked and the alarm was armed each night. I know this because both are tied to the Internet and I can monitor them from my phone. Charlie is a true professional and it was a pleasure working with him. Price is what you pay. Value is what you receive. With Charlie, I received an excellent value.

Charlie was thorough in preparing the estimate, and gave good insight into the options available. The deck was kept clean and safe at the end of each day, and the worksite was cleaned up when the job was finished.

Other than being later than was planned, Chuck did a fine job installing our new stormdoor as well as replacing a board on our deck and back door trim that had dry rotted. Very professional and clean. Will use Chuck again and recommend his workmanship!

We hired Charlie to repair bathroom flooring for us. He did an exceptional job. We plan on hiring him in the future for other projects.

Charlie and his staff were very professional and courteous. Very punctual and always returned calls or emails promptly. Will definitely be calling on them again in the spring.

Excellent job. In addition to installing the flooring, he painted the whole house and rebuilt the fence. We placed the house on the market on a Friday after the jobs were completed and it sold on the following Tuesday.

Charlie and Darrell are very hard workers and know their stuff. They replaced plumbing, hung drywall, replaced a drop ceiling, added a shower to a half bathroom, moved a door,installed new lighting. Charlie did a beautiful job with the tile in the new shower. The only reason I am not giving him 5 stars is because the finish work seemed rushed. For example, the paint job on the walls has some rough spots and the trim on the bottom of the door isn't quite flush with the floor. But what matters more is the big picture- our dinky half bath/ laundry room has been transformed into a beautiful and functional full bathroom. We are very happy with the results. I would recommend Handy Chuck. Professional, smart, organized, punctual, and reasonable. Thanks, Charlie!

Very professional services, the only issue I had is that the communication was slow and I had to nudge him for a response. Charlie took up my old flooring and installed the new in a timely manner and cleaned up the debris before he left.
