Generally, it’s best to repair your existing cabinets when the cabinet boxes are in good condition. Additionally, this option is best when you’re being budget-friendly or remodeling. 

Replacing your cabinets is best when you’re changing the layout of the room or when the cabinet boxes are in rough shape. It’s also best to replace your cabinets if you need more storage space, as this will remove the existing cabinets for new ones.

Kitchen cabinets can hold a whopping 500 pounds, but that is only possible if you attach them correctly. For kitchen cabinets, you can expect the installation process to take between a few days to a couple of weeks to complete. The time it takes to install new cabinets mainly depends on the number of cabinets, in addition to the installation space. For a smaller project, such as installing cabinets in a bathroom, you can expect that project to take a week or less, depending on the size of your bathroom. Your cabinet installation expert will be able to provide you with a realistic timeframe once you’ve decided on the scope of the project.
