"I called many roofing companies only to be told that the job was too small and they wouldn’t quote the work. This company came out, quoted the job and gave a realistic price and timeline. They did a fantastic job and even asked if we wanted to add having the house pressure washed. We did! We were kept up to date on all the work as it progressed and are happy with the work."

To potentially save money, you could consider scheduling your roof replacement during the summer or winter off-seasons. However, both seasons have significant disadvantages. Extreme summer heat can make shingles too soft to handle, while winter's cold, snow, and ice can create dangerous working conditions and prevent shingles from sealing correctly, as they typically require temperatures above 40-45°F.

It’s the reverse of home de-winterization. To winterize, you purge your plumbing system (including your water heater and all piping) of water. Some experts also recommend filling fixtures with an antifreeze solution. Venting a gas water heater out of the roof is preferable in most cases. Heated exhaust gases naturally rise, so a vertical vent pipe is efficient. If you go through a wall, you may need to add a fan to ensure a successful expulsion of the gases outdoors.

Walking on any roofing material is dangerous, so you should avoid it if you can, but if the need arises, you should know that you can walk on a concrete tile roof without damaging it. Try to step on the bottom portions of the tile that are supported by the lower layer, and distribute your weight evenly across both feet and hands, if possible.
