Look this guy up, he just robs people and seemingly gets away with it. Also seems to do shoddy work. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Willing to rip off older people as well. Is he still in the area? Probably moved on to newer hunting grounds."

In most cases, it’s more affordable to refinish your cabinets than replace them, with refinishing costs averaging $3,000 and replacement costs around $9,000. However, there are some instances in which it’s better to replace your cabinets, like if they’re an outdated style, badly damaged and beyond repair, or a sub-par material, like fiberboard. The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.

Many cabinets use “J-pulls” or other handless designs. However, frequent use also gets these areas very dirty over time. A simple household cleaner and a soft washing cloth is usually enough to clean these areas when grime builds up. Adding a layer of lemon oil or beeswax can help prevent finishes from wearing off.

You can use a soft-close hinge adapter on existing cabinet doors instead of buying new soft-close hinges. If you want soft-close cabinet doors on a budget, invest in the small adapters that allow you to convert an existing hinge to a soft-close style. They’re much less expensive than new soft-close hinges and are simpler to install. However, they don’t always last as long. 

While a three-inch center-to-center handle is common, there’s no guarantee that sizing will be the same for every cabinet. Different types of handles have different sized holes to attach them and there are lots of different cabinet handle widths and styles. You should measure to be sure you know the size of a handle and to avoid surprises.
