"Jose and his crews did a great job. They were very prompt and worked very hard taking very few breaks. I was very pleased with the process and the final outcome of my pool. He was very reasonable on pricing and I would definitely hire him again and recommend him for future jobs. He recreated and revived my backyard oasis."

"Bob Saidla was prompt and on time, very organized, trustworthy, and professional. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone. In fact, I have used his company on other jobs since his initial job of installing a secondary switchover panel for my emergency generator."

"The team with Gator Cut & Construct did a great job replacing the liner in our above ground pool. After working through some weather delays, they knocked it out. They are experienced and knowledgeable about the process. They took care of some unforseen issues below the pool before installing the new liner. It was a little more involved than originally thought but they addressed everything at a fair price. I would recommend them and will call them again for any pool maintenance needs. Thanks Matthew, I appreciate your help!"

"I looked hard and far to find a responsible professional pool and spa maintenance Co. I found one or two, but they didnâ t return calls, werenâ t willing to come to my property for a price quote and preliminary meeting until I found ETP&C Ltd. These guys Hayden and his partner are professional and dedicated to building a five star client rating; and hey if you own a pool and spa, we know quality, we worked hard for our success and our toys and we deserve the best service possible ."

"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

The disadvantages of container pools come down to flexibility and customization. Shipping containers come in standard sizes, so the sizes and shapes are limited. They also have a very distinctive look, which may not suit the aesthetic of your backyard.

Beyond that, while container pools are more affordable than in-ground pools, certain models can be more expensive. This includes the cost to heat your pool, since the metal walls have more heat transfer than other types of pools (which some brands circumvent with insulation).

When you’re winterizing your pool, you need to drain some of the water to prevent cracking and warping from ice. Nonetheless, you should never drain all of the water. Ideally, you’ll lower the water level to anywhere from four to six inches below the skimmer. This will protect the structural integrity of the walls, help prevent your pool liner from warping, and reduce damage from debris.

While some commercial pools are required to run their pump 24 hours a day, homeowners should not. Running a pool pump for 24 hours a day isn’t necessary to clean the pool water—eight hours is enough. Doing so unnecessarily increases your electric bill and puts more wear and tear on the pump and filter, shortening their lifespan.

Figuring out how to clear a green pool can seem tricky at first, but it’s all about knowing which pool cleaning chemicals to use. You may think of using baking soda to help you with your algae problem, but unfortunately, it won’t help. This is because baking soda only raises your pH and alkalinity levels.

Instead, you need to use pool shock to clear up a green pool—the shock raises the free chlorine levels and will kill the algae.

While salt water pools are slightly more expensive to install and run, they offer a better experience with less irritation to the skin, eyes, and even hair. Salt water is also less harsh on swimsuits and pool accessories. As a result, some homeowners feel the extra expense is worth it.
