"I highly recommend using First Classing Plumbing and HVAC LLC. I found them to be very professional, competent and competitive. They provided an honest estimate which included all of the necessary work and delivered the work without surprises. I researched many other companies and found that many, if not most, were deceptive in their bidding practices. Most sent out a sales representative whose primary purpose was to "up-sell" what I asked for or for what I needed. These companies were often as much as 100% higher priced than what I finally paid. I experienced none of these issues with First Class Plumbing & HVAC and I am very happy that I chose them from the others I investigated."

"Chris and Justin did a wonderful job. They cleaned the vents. They also cleaned out the dryer vent. They replaced the dryer vent hose that was damaged and put in a new outdoor dryer vent hood cover with pest guard. They also cleaned the evaporator coil on our hvac unit outside, removed the mold, and installed new filters. I am very pleased with their service and will use them again."

"AJ is very knowledgeable, prompt, customer oriented, reasonably priced and professional. He did a fantastic fixing units that 2 large HVAC companies could not figure out. Best part was being able to support a small independent business owner! I will hire again!"

"The heat was out at my rental property and Travis called me back right away.I told him I had a couple living there with a newborn baby and he was there within 2 hours of talking to him. He had to change 2 parts and got it done quick at a very reasonable price. He just happened to be in the same area the next day and checked on the hvac system and saw it was still freezing up even before the renters realized it. He called me right away and he had to go to Nashville to get the part and got it fixed the next day.He also wanted me to come by so he could show everything to me. I can't say enough good things about this man. I've used 2 of the major hvac companies in Murfreesboro before and had rude, very expensive people work on it before and one of them rigged it to get me by til he could come back to fix it and 10 years later he still hasn't shown up. All in One is the last hvac company I will ever need. Very nice, honest, reasonable and actually cares! Kept me informed the whole time!"

"My HVAC went out right before the cold snap and it was really cold in the house. I had called another company and they were thousands more so I took a chance and called Arnold’s and it’s the smartest thing I have ever done! The unit is excellent and will save me money on utility costs. He was there Monday morning and had me up and running in no time! He knows what he’s doing and didn’t tack on a service fee and other additional costs. I’m so glad that I found him and I highly recommend him for your HVAC needs. You won’t regret it! Thanks Arnold’s"

"Deshawn Willis was our tech today. Installed a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat for us so we could control the temp in our house remotely. Deshawn was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Did the work quickly and walked us through how to connect it to the app and how to make it function. Great service!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Air conditioners can stop working in the middle of the night for many reasons. Your local power grid might shut down late at night. Power surges can also trip your breakers if too much power is being used in the area at the time. If your AC is connected to a digital thermostat, it gets naturally cooler at night, so the outdoor temperature might dip below the automated setting to turn the cooling system off.

Set your house temperature between 55 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit while on vacation, depending on the season. If it’s winter, don’t go below 55 degrees. In the summer, the best AC temperature for energy savings is no higher than 85 degrees. You can save anywhere from 10% to 15% on your energy costs by adjusting the temperature while you’re away. If you have a smart thermostat, set up vacation modes for each season. On your way home, turn off vacation mode to allow the home to warm up or cool down before you arrive.

Running an air conditioner with mold is not safe because it can spread harmful mold spores throughout your home. Exposure to these spores can trigger various health problems, including respiratory issues, allergies, coughing, wheezing, sneezing, itchy eyes, and a sore throat. It may also aggravate asthma in household members. Continued exposure can increase the risk of more serious illnesses like sinus infections, pneumonia, and bronchitis. If you suspect mold in your air conditioner, you should stop using the system until it has been properly cleaned to avoid health risks and further contamination.

Running a window air conditioner unit costs about $0.06 to $0.88 per hour. Choosing the correct size air conditioner can help it run more efficiently.

Replacing an HVAC system does not always include new ductwork. The decision depends on the condition of your existing ducts. If they are in good shape, correctly sized for the new unit, and meet current standards, they can often be reused. However, if the ducts are damaged, poorly designed, or improperly sized, they will likely need to be replaced or upgraded to ensure the new system operates efficiently. An HVAC contractor will assess your ductwork and recommend the best course of action. Typically, ductwork is purchased separately, and a full replacement will add to the overall project cost.
