"I highly recommend using First Classing Plumbing and HVAC LLC. I found them to be very professional, competent and competitive. They provided an honest estimate which included all of the necessary work and delivered the work without surprises. I researched many other companies and found that many, if not most, were deceptive in their bidding practices. Most sent out a sales representative whose primary purpose was to "up-sell" what I asked for or for what I needed. These companies were often as much as 100% higher priced than what I finally paid. I experienced none of these issues with First Class Plumbing & HVAC and I am very happy that I chose them from the others I investigated."

"Dan returned my call promptly. He was able to come out the next day and called when he was on his way. He cleaned our dryer vent and also cleaned the vent inside the dryer. He was very professional and showed us the build up of lint that he removed. Before he left, he gave recommendations for how often we should have it cleaned. Dan was very polite and professional! For washable or electrostatic air conditioner filters, you can soak and rinse them with water. If you rinse the filter with water, make sure to use a faucet, shower head, or garden hose with a gentle water pressure setting, as strong water pressure could damage the filter.

But for disposable filters, water could ruin the filter, even allowing mold to grow in the filter. Instead, these filters should be replaced.

Air conditioners can stop working in the middle of the night for many reasons. Your local power grid might shut down late at night. Power surges can also trip your breakers if too much power is being used in the area at the time. If your AC is connected to a digital thermostat, it gets naturally cooler at night, so the outdoor temperature might dip below the automated setting to turn the cooling system off.

If your AC unit isn’t cooling and you haven’t figured out why, there are a few good reasons to turn it off ASAP. The source of the issue, whether that be leaking refrigerant or a broken compressor, will worsen and cause more damage to the overall unit the longer the machine is allowed to run.
