"Joseph called me the same day I submitted my request for tree service. He then came to my home and provided an estimate that same day. He told me it would be a day or 2 before he could complete the work. He showed up the next day and removed the 40 foot Cyprus that had been damaged by a storm. I also had him trim the River Birch at the front of my home to remove the branches protruding toward my house. Joseph was prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I will utilize his services for other yard work (mulch, pine straw, yard work, etc.) in the coming months. I have already recommended Joseph to my neighbors and would highly recommend him to anyone."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

The fastest growing grass seeds are Bermuda grass, which is a warm-season grass and ryegrass, which is a cool-season grass. Both of these grass types tend to germinate in five to 10 days. Other fast-growing varieties include perennial Ryegrass and fescues, all of which have unique characteristics and growing requirements.

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.

Because it’s native to the central United States and Canada and is drought-tolerant, it typically is not difficult to grow. It requires very little maintenance and minimal watering beyond rainfall. Its hardy nature and unique look make it a favorite choice among people living in the western United States and other dry regions of the country.

Sod is different from grass because it comes in thick layers of mature grass, roots, and soil for quick transportation and easy installation. This is different from seeding your lawn, which involves directly laying grass seeds into the ground. Grass seeds take approximately 30 days to begin germinating and up to 18 months to reach maturity, whereas sod comes ready to go.

Properly secured bird netting is the best option to cover your grass seed with. It creates a minor moisture barrier that can help seeds sprout, and it’s a great way to keep birds away from your seeds. A cheaper, lower-maintenance option is hay or mulch, but these can change the look of your lawn and require cleanup in the case of straw.
