"I am so grateful for Angie's List in this case because I called this plumber based on the reviews here. He took time to answer my many questions (I was considering all sorts of hot water heaters--tankless, traditional, hybrid, etc.--in the end, we went with a traditional one.) His price was better than competitors and he was responsive, professional, and did a fabulous job! Pleasant to work with and efficient."

Small jobs welcome

"Having a lake house in a rather rural area has it's pros and cons.  One of the disadvantages is that it can be hard to find reliable professional services (like plumbing, building, electrical, etc.).  Mr. Rooter is an exception.  Each time I called them, they responded quickly and appropriately, sending highly qualified professionals to the house.  One of the times was on a weekend and their answering service quickly connected me to the plumber on call.  The third time I called them was to address a symptom created by the second fix -- and Will Holcombe was a total pro in both diagnosing, fixing and taking responsibility for the problem.  Not every plumbing fix is perfect (lots of variables and things even the best plumbers cannot see in the walls, etc.) and he was extremely reasonable and honest about a flaw in a gasket that he had previously installed (which created a new leak).  Will found the problem, created a new solution using calk in place of the gasket and the toilet no longer leaks.  I was really impressed by Will's approach, abilities and general professionalism.  He worked quickly and confidently, making sure to solve the problem while being very tidy and careful to avoid mess in a newly remodeled bathroom.   I understand that Will is moving away and will no longer be working with Mr. Rooter in Anderson, SC.  I know he'll be an asset at the next company he joins and wish him the best of luck.  Will (and Mr. Rooter), thanks again for the help, the good work and, importantly, for being nice people.

"I have known Rusty throughout the duration of his career in plumbing. He started at the bottom, as an employee and worked his way up; establishing himself in the field, as the honest and approachable plumber, who wants to educate his clients. He explains what the problem is and provides different levels of solutions, depending on how urgent the case is, rather than falsifying a sense of urgency. If you’re looking for somebody who is credible and will get the job done, this is who you call."

"I had a water heater emergency on a Saturday, and my four girls were frantic with no hot water.  I called several plumbers who were not able to come out on the weekend or wanted way too much money.  When I called Steve at All about Plumbing, he was very nice and was able to come out the sameday.  He did not charge an estimate fee, gave me an estimate to fix the problem.  He installed a new heater that night and we were back in business and ready for Sunday morning showers before church.  He promised to be there at a certain time and was.  He was professional.  I would recommend to my friends and family."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

After plumbing work in Seneca, it’s important to check all new fixtures for leaks, confirm proper drainage, and test water pressure at every tap. Schedule any required inspections, especially for major repairs or replacements. Over the next few weeks, monitor for settling or minor drips. Maintain seasonal pipe insulation, keep records of all work, and arrange annual water heater and septic system maintenance.

Helpful?

When choosing a plumber in Seneca, prioritize professionals with proven local experience, proper insurance, and knowledge of area-specific needs like well systems or lakefront properties. Look for clear, written estimates and references from Seneca homeowners. Reliable pros communicate openly, offer detailed contracts, and never pressure you into quick decisions. Avoid those who lack a local presence or offer vague service details.

Helpful?

In Seneca, quality plumbing work is evident when fixtures have consistent water flow, drains clear quickly, and all pipe joints are dry and secure. Look for neatly routed pipes, labeled shut-off valves, and properly insulated lines in crawl spaces or attics. Materials should be suitable for local water conditions, and all installations must align with SC’s plumbing code for lasting reliability.

Helpful?

The condition and age of your Seneca property directly influence plumbing choices. Older homes may need full pipe replacement due to corrosion, while newer homes might only require fixture installation or minor repairs. Properties with crawl spaces allow easier pipe access, while slab foundations can complicate repairs. Rural homes often require special attention to well pumps or septic systems, impacting project planning.

Helpful?

In Seneca, cosmetic plumbing projects typically involve upgrading faucets, sinks, or showerheads to enhance appearance, often without major system changes. Functional projects, such as pipe replacement or drain cleaning, address underlying issues like leaks or clogs and may require permits. Functional work is especially important in older Seneca homes, where aging pipes or outdated sewer lines can impact overall system performance.
