Terrible!

We called Duckett out to resolve a single issue - a leak - which appeared to be coming from our daughters bathroom above our master closet. Long story short - they did not locate the leak, they made a costly and unnecessary "repair" and left the leak unresolved. Throughout the â repairâ the technician (William) left open the door for charging more for the actual repair (leaking shower valve) and tried to sell my wife on dry wall repair services to the tune of $400. The technician was also caught in a lie stating he told my wife we could just put an access door for $60. When we called and spoke with the owner he was extremely rude and confrontational, would not let me speak and said if I didnâ t answer all his questions he would hang up on me. He finally agreed to send someone out to do an assessment to determine the source of the leak (which wasnâ t done properly the first time) and repair it at no charge as long as we paid for the parts, which we agreed to. The morning of the appointment, he cancelled on us citing a note my wife made on the square transaction stating the repair wasnâ t complete. This note, which is not visible by anyone other than us and him, cannot be altered or removed. He refused to come out unless we removed this note and threatened to sue us if we posted any negative reviews. Bottom line, stay away from this company. They have an F rating with the BBB (link below), citing they didnâ t provide their LLR licensing information, and they use a BBB Accredited Business Logo when they are not one. The only reason why they have positive ratings online is because they threaten to sue people who leave negative reviews. We ask the plumber to make some changes that were not part of the job, and he was more than happy to do so.

Mr. Duckett followed up with me at 7 am to make sure i was taken care of. The water heater was installed quickly. Process was explained thoroughly. Will use this business again.

I was ripped off of 400.00. The problem was not solved it was made worse by his professional staff. I had to get another plumber to fix their mess. I would not recommend them to fix anything. I am sorry but Mr. DUCKETTE does not know what happened the next day after they left. You just cannot talk to this man. He does not need to be running this business. HE IS NOT A BIT PROFESSIONAL.

Did the job on time and was thorough

We just purchased our home in November of 2021, and much to our dismay, we had to replace our water heater almost immediately. My wife and I got 3 different opinions, and they all arrived on the same conclusion. Duckett was not cheap, but much more reasonable than the big guys in the Greenville area. The work AND the water heater are both warrantied for 10 years, so it was worth the price to prevent this issue from reoccurring. Thanks Duckett for helping us out!

The problem occurred near the Holidays and the firm worked to resolve a series problem in a timely and professional manner.

The plumber alerted me to an additional problem - needing to replace a failed water pressure regulating valve (PRV). I am very grateful for his keen eye.

Came the same day. And did an excellent job in a short time.

They showed up less than two hours after Angi recommended them, and it was a Saturday. They quoted the job and began work immediately. Job completed in six hours counting two trips back to shop to pick up tank and auxiliary overflow pressure tank. I supplied plastic sheeting to cover my carpet. They should have done this because the job was messy. This part could have been better, as my carpet would have been ruined if I had not put down the plastic.

Took advantage of the situation to price gouge... in my opinion.

Turned out it was a water leak but water heater will need replacing soon. Andrew went above and beyond to ensure I have hot water today. I would recommend Andrew with Duckett Plumbing to everyone. He did a great job!
