"No hot water. Called them from Massachusetts. My father in law met plumber at house as my wife works at Ft Jackson full time. Plumber was supposed to diagnose water heater and give me options. I chose the cheapest one $552 to replace heating element. He did not check thermostats or anything else. He said unit had a leak and may be rusted out. Total rebuild was $750 and replace whole unit north of $2500. I asked if work was warranted. He said part and his work warranted . Hot water returned for just over 24 hours then went cold again. I called them back and he wanted $75 to come out and said I chose cheapest option ($552) and so what did I expect. I said your work failed in just over 24 hours. He kept reciting 3 options like a parrot. Was clear to me that he did not care about us the customer and I should have got the most expensive option. . Would not recommend this company to any one . They only care about how much you will pay and are not concerned about you , the custom. "

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Knowing the signs can alert you to a clogged drain line. Clogs cause slow drainage or cause no drainage (if there’s a complete blockage). You may also notice foul odors, gurgling noises, water backing up in other appliances on the same line, or a poorly flushing toilet. If you experience any of these issues and think your line might be clogged, call a plumber.

An active cleaning agent and a drain snake is the best way to clean a main sewer line. You can purchase a regular or enzyme drain cleaner or make a DIY drain cleaner with baking soda. Use your chosen solution at least once a month or as needed to keep your sewer line clear.

There are a few things that can happen to your sewer system if you don’t fix it. These include rainwater entering it and causing rust and corrosion, dirt and debris leading to blockages, small animals getting stuck inside and clogging your sewer line or entering your home, and shortening the sewer system’s life span.

Without a cap, nothing prevents toxic and non-toxic gasses like methane and hydrogen sulfide from slowly escaping your sewer system and entering your home and the surrounding atmosphere, resulting in a foul sewer odor throughout your house.

Yes. Sewer cameras are invaluable tools that can help pros safely diagnose problems with your septic system. Without a camera to look into your system, septic issue diagnoses would be a combination of guessing and past experience. However, a camera can help confirm ideas that your pro may already have about what’s wrong.

Depending on the home, wastewater either goes into a septic tank and seeps back into the backyard or is sent via sewer system to a local sewage-treatment plant. Septic systems naturally separate different components of the waste so that it can naturally and safely disperse it. They are usually reserved for homes not served by a municipal sewage department (like rural homes). A treatment plant, on the other hand, speeds up that process through screening and purification.
