"Prompt service. Came to give quote and offered to do the job the same day. Technician negotiated a price comparable to other quotes we received with his boss prior to installation. He Cleaned up beautifully, everything working well. We had Prefered Home services for an HVAC repair in the past, that’s why we called them for a quote. Good immediate reliable service twice now!"

"Sewer Daddy saved the day!! All of our toilets would not flush, our master shower and tub were flooding, and all of our sinks were making horrible noises & I had no idea who to call! So in the middle of our dilemma & trying to figure out what to do, a quick trip to a fast food drive thru for lunch, there in the parking lot was Sewer Daddy! They had just finished a job and said they would come right over, find out the problem & give us an estimate. Alvin, the owner of Sewer Daddy, went above & beyond taking his time to find out exactly what the problem was, how to fix it, & then gave us the estimate of the cost....of which I had to pick up my mouth off the floor because it was a low & honest amount...Iâ m not a plumber & could have easily been taken advantage of again but NOT by Alvin and Sewer Daddy! He fixed everything & on top of it he also fixed two of our toilets that were improperly installed by a former contractor! Alvin was extremely professional, efficient, friendly, and very affordable! He even called us a few days later just to check on us and make sure everything was ok! Needless to say, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEWER DADDY! THANK YOU ALVIN, GREAT JOB! I wonâ t use anyone else! SEWER DADDY ALL THE WAY!!"

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Sewer gas in any location can cause eye and respiratory irritation if you’re exposed at low levels, or more severe symptoms if you’re exposed at high levels—but fortunately, the fresh air outside means it’s less likely to affect your physical health. However, sewer smells outside can still indicate significant plumbing problems that will need to be dealt with, such as a potentially damaged sewer line or roof vent pipe.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

Snaking a toilet is similar to clearing sinks and bathtubs, but there are unique circumstances where you’d have to drain, disassemble, and remove the toilet to fix the clog. For stubborn clogs in the toilet trap, a toilet auger—designed with a shorter cable and a protective plastic encasing—can navigate the tight bends and clear the clog without risking damage to the porcelain.

If your drain doesn’t have metal crosshairs or crossbars, you should use a tub drain extractor. These tools create a grip on the drain so you can turn it using a 1/2-inch ratchet drive, drain key, or wrench. Your drain may not have crosshairs if it's old and broken.
