Downsizing, moving, redecorating, or a death in the family can all lead to the need for our help to liquidate your estate, or part of it. We specialize in antiques, fine art, jewelry and sterling. When liquidating an estate containing these items, a vast knowledge is required to correctly price and sell them. The seller needs to have access to the information and market for items that are unique and many times, one of a kind. We take great effort in researching each individual item and then selling it in the market that we feel will bring the best selling price. Unlike most estate liquidators, we remove the items from the home. They are sold at full retail, not estate sale prices, in our retail locations and directly to designers and collectors. We are paid on a commission only basis. Moving expenses are kept to a minimum and deducted out of the sales and our commissions are very competitive. We will take a few items or an entire household. If an immediate sale is required, we will also purchase an entire estate outright. Each client receives individualized service, depending on their particular needs. All consultations are free. We will make your transition as stress free as possible.

Uncompromising quality and integrity in all of your precious metals purchases and sales. Specializing in gold & silver bullion. Avoid gold and silver retailers selling you their inventory at high premiums! We pay top prices for jewelry, sterling, diamonds and watches! Fisher Precious Metals is a national gold and silver dealer. Listed as a national dealer with the United States Mint, Fisher Precious Metals is a trusted resource for gold and silver coins and bars. Established in 1995, the firm works with individuals on all issues related to buying and selling physical precious metals, storage, security, estate liquidation and long-term exit strategies. John Fisher, the President, is an ICTA Board Member and is approved by the State of Florida to teach Continuing Education courses on precious metals investing to CFP's, CPA's, attorneys and insurance professionals. In addition, John is a frequent guest on various financial radio broadcast programs. Fisher Precious Metals is an A+ rated Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau.

"It went great! We found Fisher Precious Metals on Angie's List, and after googling them, we found they had very positive reviews across the web. Although it was a 45 minute drive from our home, we felt it might be worth it, and it was. We made an appointment with John via email, arrived at 11:00, and spent just over an hour in his office. He evaluated the sterling silver set we had to sell and gave us what we felt was a very fair price. He'd given us an estimate on the value of the gold coins via email, and although the price of gold had fluctuated since he'd provided the quote, the final price was very, very close to the initial quote. We were happy to learn that they will also buy jewelry, as I have a few pieces I haven't worn in a very long time. We were very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return to their company when we have gold or silver to sell, and we're happy to recommend them to our friends. One thing to keep in mind is that sterling silver sets are basically worth the price of the silver itself. We knew that going in, so we were not disappointed and, in fact, the price we received was a little higher than we'd expected."

Antiques and Jewelry Appraisals questions, answered by experts

Both conventional loans and FHA loans are types of mortgages, but they have a few key differences. Conventional loans are backed by private lenders without any government backing, and FHA loans are guaranteed by a government agency. FHA loans are designed to be easier for borrowers with low credit scores or income to qualify for.

A property valuation, sometimes called a comparative market analysis or CMA, provides a real estate expert’s opinion on how much your property will sell for. It takes many things into consideration, like the condition and location of the home, but ultimately, all that matters for a property valuation is what a buyer might be willing to pay for the property. An appraisal is more concerned with determining the value. A valuation is to estimate what you’ll get for a property, while an appraisal helps a lender establish loan-to-value ratios and loan amounts.

Home and property appraisals cost about $355 on average, ranging from $250 to $500, depending on the size of the home and property, age of the property, comparability to nearby homes, and location. While single-family homes typically cost between $300 and $400 to appraise, multi-family home appraisal can cost $500 to $1,000 due to the increased size and building complexity.

In most cases, you can expect home automation to boost your home value. This technology makes the homeowner’s life easier and more comfortable, and some provide increased safety and protection. Buyers will likely recognize value in security systems and utility monitors, as well as comfort-focused upgrades that save on electric bills while keeping interior rooms at the desired temperature and humidity. On average, you can expect a 50% and 75% return on investment on home automation services, and potentially even more if the automation reduces homeowner’s insurance.

Mobile homes weigh anywhere between 45 to 50 pounds per square foot. Some newer options weigh up to 70 pounds per square foot. An average single-wide mobile home weighs 45,000 pounds, and a double-wide mobile home weighs about 70,000 pounds. Triple-wide mobile homes range from 90,000 to 100,000 pounds.
