Southern Moving

Isaac and his team did a wonderful job. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture. They protected my floors, both in the house I was leaving and the one I was moving into. They worked hard and quickly. On top of that, they were very nice men.

Great. They were very professional and have already recommended them to another person.

Fantastic...the team was same for all three moves. They were so nice and especially great with my mother. We loved them...they work very hard, are always on time. From the initial estimates from Randall to the packers to the movers..all were great and the move could not have gone better.

Perfectly. The team was on time and was gracious to the skilled nursing unit residents who saw them taking things from my mother-in-law's room the day after she died.

On the first day three very polite and professional young ladies turned up to pack our items. They were very meticulous with their packing and marked everything very carefully on the moving boxes to help aid with the unpacking at our new home. They were careful to avoid packing anything we might need before loading day or anything they thought should stay at the house.

The morning of the move the lead mover called to let me know they were on their way. They arrived and all the gentlemen were very polite, friendly and professional. They got straight to work and it was obvious this crew had worked together for a number of years because they were extremely careful, helped each other out and were all focused on working hard. They were all loaded up that morning which meant we could all get an early start on the drive.

The next morning at our new location the lead mover called me to let me know they were on their way. Again, all the movers were happy to be there to work and were very polite and professional at all times. They even took the time to wait for me to put furniture pads on all our furniture as they walked it in the door (because we'd just had hardwood floors refinished!!). Near the end of the unload they were happy to walk through the house and move anything to where I wanted it!

We have now unpacked all our boxes and absolutely nothing was been broken or damaged in this move!! All in all this was by far the best moving company we have ever used. We have moved 6 times across the USA over the last 12 years and have had some real challenges with moving companies and their subcontractors.  The owner along with his team of packers and movers (all his employees) and are all dedicated to work hard and do their best to make your move as easy as possible. As for the final bill, it came back slightly below the original estimate!

We would highly recommend this moving company.

We moved from Charlotte to the NC mountains. 3 miles up a mountain road!  Isaac and his team arrived exactly in time, were very professional and courteous and handled our items with great care. I had a very special piece made by my father (a large corner hutch with glass in the upper half). They took extra time to wrap it with extra padding and it arrived in perfect condition.

They would point out if we should pack something with extra tape or if a box was damaged. The quoted price was reasonable very affordable. Even when we had to get an extra truck (going up into the mountains, you cannot take the big trucks, only smaller ones) the cost was within what Randall said it would be. I would highly recommend this company.

The move was very smooth and the guys loading took exceptional care of my boxes and furniture. All furniture was padded in the truck and not scratched in transit. The movers never stopped working and got the job done extremely quick.

Got it scheduled quickly. The guys showed up on time and were careful moving my things. Took them about an hour and a half to complete the whole job. Was a little expensive for such a short amount of time, but I couldn't have done it all myself. I would recommend them!

They showed up on time and we explained the situation about our rental house layout. Also that we wanted to move our bedroom furniture first so we could spent the first night in our rental. We had a1/2 truck of items being stored over our rental house garage and it could only be accessed from an alley behind the house. We agreed to split our move into 2 days and first day they were done by 2:30 including them reassembling 3 beds we had time to set things that afternoon. Next day they were again on time they loaded out our old house and were done unloading by 11:30 that day. They made an extra delivery for us and had that done by1:00 that afternoon.

Everything when as smooth as silk, Isaac the supervisor was great he communicated to both my wife and me; whenever we had a question we knew who to ask. 

Everyone of his guys were professional and curious. They pay attention to details, wrapped all of are white furniture in paper and stretch wrap, cushions were wrapped separately and everything was handled with care. No dings on the walls and a very tough staircase to the second floor.

We look forward to seeing Isaac and his crew later this year to move us into our new home.

Of the four women who came to pack my stuff, one was very slow, one incompetent, and they did not appear to have any experience.  They could not communicate between themselves.  I gave directions to one - she was not able to relay this info to the others effectively.  They kept coming and going.  Stuff got broken.  Nothing was labelled.  They were unbelievably slow.  It took me opening 36 boxes to find cutlery.  I was supposed to have someone to help me unpack the kitchen, none showed up.  they left without finishing the job.  Morning of the move there was still unpacked stuff in every room.  Three out of four packers did not appear to have any experience packing.  They were not even able to put like with like (shaped books).  They did not have appropriate  boxes in which to pack china.  China was broken.  Please don't use this company.

I cannot say enough about the overwhelmingly positive service we received from Southern Moving. Earlier this year, we required a move from a 3-story condo in Davidson to both a storage unit in Cornelius and a condo in the South Park area. Then, a month later we moved into a new house in Huntersville using the same team. Along the way, Isaac and his team were the consummate professionals. The team showed up on time, moved expeditiously at every turn, and could not have displayed more courtesy along the way. After each move, and even after some very tight stairwells, we were very pleased to find that our property had virtually zero damage. I cannot say enough good things about Southern Moving, and Isaac?s team in particular. If you need help moving, and are lucky enough to get their help, you?ll be extremely happy.

The move went well for the most part. We had labeled all boxes and furniture with their final location in the new house and all were placed in the spot we had identified.  No walls or floors of the new house were damaged, although walls in the old house did get minor damage.  One corner unit cabinet had it's crown molding ripped out when they delivered it.  Also, the L-shaped work desk from the office was not put back together in the original condition.  There were two different crews on the different move days.  The second crew was not as experienced nor were they as careful.  I reported the damage to the cabinet, the crew chief took notes and said I would hear from their office about compensation, but I never did.

The guys were helpful and friendly, but they should have had one more man on the team - which is what we paid for and didn't get.  I would use them again, they were efficient and professional.

It was excellent. Isaac and his team were extremely professional and conscientious. They worked tirelessly to take care of all of the items.

Everything went well in spite of snow. This is the third time I have used their services. They do outstanding work and are very professional.

They moved my mother in law into a new home after years of being in the
same place. He met with her first to explain what they could do. very
patient, made the transition very easy. Two packers did a great job of
packing, very efficient. Provided packers, boxes, movers. Would
definitely use them again. And you will love his honey too

Isaac and his crew of 8 guys were wonderful to work with. They were incredibly polite, careful and responsive. They were quick to help with anything I needed and took great care in sorting through all the various elements of a complicated move. I have many antiques and they were extra careful with these; wrapping them for storage and loading a storage garage with careful planning. I don't think I have ever worked with a more polite group of guys. I heard more "yes Mam" responses in 3 days that I think I have heard in the past 3 months. They were wonderful to have in the house with my children around and I was grateful for their helpful attitudes and professionalism.

I  had purchased a used treadmill and needed it moved to my home, which was approximately 4 miles away from it's location.
Sawyers was able to do the job the day that I called, which was great!
Tyrone and Adrian arrived with the treadmill at the time I was told. They did get the treadmill in the house, but were not able to get into the room I wanted it set up in. I do not consider this their fault. I knew there could probably be some issues, with the size of the treadmill and the size of my doorways.
They made an attempt at taking the treadmill apart to move it into the spot I wanted, but there was not a manual with the treadmill at that time, so we were unable to see how/what we could remove safely.
After working on this for well over an hour, I requested that they just put it back together and I chose another spot for it. They really did try to place it where I wanted.
The cost originally seemed a little high to just move one item 4 miles, but  considering the amount of effort and trouble they had to go to, not really to bad on cost either.

Isaac and his crew of 4 additional men did an amazing job.  They worked relentlessly for 9.5 billable hours throughout the day.  They dis-assembled large furniture for the move and re-assembled each piece when we moved into new house.  They even helped me re-assemble my desk that they weren't involved in breaking down initially.  Also were very respectful of our belongings and made sure we were 100% pleased with the placement at the new house.  They were committed to staying as long as they had to on Monday to ensure the move was not only completed but that we were 100% satisfied with their efforts.  To summarize, they were on time, worked very hard, didn't damage anything, were professional and committed to doing the job to our utmost satisfaction.  I will recommend Southern Moving to anyone who asks.

Issac and the other guys continue to do an excellent job. It had been a number of years since I needed their services, but it's always good to see a familiar face when you need help.  Randall gave me a break of price because what needed moving only took 17 minutes and not the full hour. Great honest company!
