Do not show you're going to this business. They will lie to you straight to your face and tell you yes your coins are worth way less than what they actually are. They are scam artists and you should never ever even stop there or sell anything to this business that has thieves working very hard to lie cheat and steal from people that go there. Don't dare go there unless you want to get ripped off. They are most definitely scammers

It went surprisingly well. Surprisingly....only because I'm a natural skeptic.
I have some rolls of state quarters and wanted to determine what their likely value is. I've read greatly varying info on this on the internet with some claims that most are worth about $.40 ea and others that claim they are and will continue to be worth roughly face value for the foreseeable future.
The gentleman that I spoke with was very "down to earth" and answered my questions at a level that a non-coin-collector could appreciate.
In the end, we concluded that though it's possible that I may have one or two quarters that exceed face value, that the likelihood is not great. He mentioned, in particular, a couple of state quarters where for one reason or another that the likelihood may be slightly greater.
Two thumbs up for any business that doesn't waste your time trying to make a dollar. If ever I decide to get a formal appraisal I will definitely choose them.

Low Country Coins met and exceeded our expectations. Their counsel on line was excellent in helping us pick and evaluate a coin dealer.

Obviously, we did not spend any money for this transaction. That is why the amount above is $0.00.
The story is described above.
Simply stated: this is an honest broker in a potentially dishonest business. We picked Low Country Coins based on a primer on their website. Bill (one of the owners) followed his primer word by word in evaluating our collection.
If you need to have your coins/collection honestly appraised and purchased for a reasonable amount, go to Low Country Coins.
