"Very responsive. High quality work from Marcus. Only issue was the date of the work - used them for two projects, and both times the execution date was pushed 1-3 days from what was originally communicated."

"We were redoing the tile around our fireplace and also needed french doors to be hung. Wain and his team went out of their way to make sure everything was done right. For some reason, some of the tile didn't match so they picked up some pieces to replace it to make sure the job was done right. Throughout the project, the communication was smooth. I will definitely hire them to do more projects in the future."

"Chris and his team did an excellent job creating a fantastic atmosphere to sit back and relax in our backyard with the covered porch. They were cleanly, on time, and the price was right! Going to be calling him back when it’s time to remodel the bathroom to get my wife the bathtub she really wants."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Also, avoid walking over less stable ungrouted floor tiles as they are more prone to premature cracking and shifting.

Your floors should be completely level for tile, otherwise you risk damaging the tiles in the future. When there are even small gaps or hills in the subfloor beneath the tile, this puts more pressure on the tile when you walk around on the floor. With repeated traffic, the tiles are at risk of cracking, and you’ll have to deal with tile repairs sooner than if the floor was completely level.
