"My A/C condenser died in July. When I began requesting recommendations and quotes from contractors on different systems, I found that I might not be able to afford replacing my old system at all. I spoke to 4 contractors and 2 online vendors. Finally found First Class Home Services. Tommy Goldberg sent me his technician Cameron Soper. Cameron is not a salesman. He knew I was having financial problems and did his very best to help. They got me a better unit than I had hoped for, a better price, and arranged financing that I could afford. Also, they don't have a surcharge on their financing like I found with some contractors. It was a one-day installation and Mr. Goldberg was available by phone and e-mail to answer all my questions and walk me through the whole process (day, night and weekend). Truly amazing service! J. "Rob was gracious and professional, gave us a reasonable estimate and did the work on our duct system right on schedule. It has made a world of difference in our house's air quality. The only reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is that this was before most people, including us, had been vaccinated for covid, so I asked Rob to wear a mask in our house, which I also did when he was inside. But he didn't wear one. Given that my husband has asthma and was thus high risk for complications if he were to catch Covid, this was a concern for me."

"I got several estimates and their price was by far the best. When I let the owner know I was going to have to do the two jobs separately for financial reasons they were able to offer 18 month same as cash financing so I could have all the work done at one time. I would recommend them and do business with them again in a heart-beat."

"We had a service technician come out to our home the same day I made the phone call. I was impressed from start to finish. Chisholm sent text messages confirming our appointment and when the technician was in route. They even text a picture of the technician. We had the pleasure of working with Bear. Bear is super professional and knowledgeable! He provided us with multiple options and helped us to make the right decision on what was best for our home. I would highly recommend this company and definitely use them again in the future for our home's plumbing or ac needs."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

British architect John Nash is credited with creating the Italianate style of architecture. The style was further popularized in the U.S. by landscape architect Andrew Jackson Downing and architect Calvert Vaux. The style spread across the U.S. due to Downing’s popular book on the style and the availability of plans and materials due to the mass production of the Industrial Revolution.

Costs depend on desk size, labor, included features like drawers or motorized height adjustments, and required wall anchoring.

You have three options in terms of professionals who can draw up blueprints: a draftsperson, an architect, or a structural engineer. A draftsperson can sometimes draw up plans for new construction, but they more often work from approved plans for alterations or to provide 3D drawings. Architects are usually the best option for standard residential construction projects. Structural engineers might be necessary for custom home builds or for alterations that could affect your home’s structural integrity. Draftsmen cost the least of the three, followed by architects and then structural engineers.

An architect is usually involved in the process of determining the layout and structural features and requirements of the home itself, taking into account the local codes, climate, and materials needed to make the home structurally sound. Architects may communicate more with contractors and subcontractors throughout the building process. In comparison to architects, interior designers typically focus on the aesthetics of a home interior and possibly exterior, helping the homeowner decide on color schemes, textures, and materials to incorporate into the design.

Yes, professionals will offer tailored solutions to fit architectural and personal style preferences.
