"I called Jessica when my regular decorator was unable to help me redecorate my bathrooms and I was not disappointed! Jessica responds to all questions and phone calls almost immediately and I absolutely love her choices. My husband was not excited about updating our bathrooms until he saw Jessica’s mood-boards and now even he can’t wait to get started on the project. My only concern is that once the bathrooms are complete we will want to do more updating! Thank you Jessica and Dani! Would definitely recommend. I am a retired real estate agent so I have worked with many home stagers and decorators throughout my 35 year career and I think Jessica’s talents are among the best."

"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"After reading all of the positive reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Sure Load to inquire about hiring some labor to help my husband and me unload the contents of a rental truck into a storage unit.  I was quoted a price of $30/man per hour with a two hour minimum plus a $50 travel fee.  I was asked to call back two weeks prior to our move to confirm and arrange a meeting time.  Since my husband and I were traveling from another state, we were not sure exactly when we would arrive, but the folks at Sure Load were very accommodating trying to get the crew to us when we arrived a little earlier than originally expected.  We also added a third mover (we had originally scheduled two men) the day of our move when we realized our load was larger than we thought it would be.
Antwan and his crew were very conscientious and professional from the time they called to confirm their arrival time until the job was completed.  They arrived promptly and went right to work. They were really good at organizing the contents of the unit to maximize our storage space and were very accommodating to me when I requested that certain items be placed in the front of the unit for easy access.  They were very careful with the fragile pieces and the furniture.  They were also very fast!  They had the entire truck unloaded in less than 1 1/2 hours.
We were very happy with the service and will definitely hire Sure Load to unload our storage unit and move the contents into our new home when it is completed."

"I had an empty condo in Myrtle Beach and was frustrated with the idea of designing the space. I went to Home Advisor looking for help and found Renee. From get go she was pleasant and seems knowledgeable. I explained to her the situation I was in and she follows up with questions that makes me feel comfortable and with that comes the confidence I needed in her. She sent me pictures for me to chose my style. I picked a couple and told her she had the green light to design a unit that will me say WOW when I see it. Well, she did not disappoint. The job she did was beyond my expectation. It was as if she know me and my style all along. Her choice of furniture and rugs was on point. She even had some of the furniture customized to complement the window treatment. All and all, I am pleased with the work and I am highly recommending her to be your Interior designer."

"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

To stage your home yourself, clean your home thoroughly to sell, leaving it gleaming like a five-star hotel. Less is best—always clear away clutter and anything personal so buyers can focus on the beauty of the rooms. Prospective buyers will check the closets, so investing in a storage space may be necessary.

Move furniture around, mix fabrics and decor, and de-cramp the room by removing any unnecessary furniture. A fresh coat of paint always helps, as do natural features like plants.

It is generally better to stage a house than to leave it empty, as it can help the home sell faster and for a higher price. Staging helps potential buyers envision themselves living in the property. According to the National Association of Realtors, more than 75% of buyer’s agents report that staging makes it easier for buyers to build a connection with the home. Furthermore, a 2018 survey of over 4,200 professionally staged homes revealed that most sold for 6% to 25% more than their unstaged counterparts. Using a professional staging service can improve a buyer’s opinion of your house and may lead to higher offers.

In most cases, selling a home in as-is condition will lead to a sale price that’s somewhere between 10% and 30% lower than normal. However, it’s often worthwhile to sell at a loss because the alternative would be to pay for the repairs yourself, which could end up costing you more. Even if they didn’t, selling as-is saves you from the time and energy you’d spend coordinating the repairs.

Yes, staging a home really works and can help your home sell faster, potentially for a higher price than if you did not use a home staging service. According to the National Association of Realtors, 48% of seller’s agents reported home staging decreased a home’s time on the market.

Plus, 20% of buyer’s and seller’s agents claimed home staging increased home sale prices by 1% to 5%. Although decluttering and cleaning help a home sell, staging can take your home’s curb appeal to the next level, helping to expedite the process and increase your profit.

The main difference between a home stager and an interior designer is that the former creates temporary, generally appealing spaces, while the latter creates personalized design choices for your permanent home. A home stager seeks to depersonalize your home while also showing off the best features of the home to potential buyers. An interior designer works with you to infuse your personal style into the decor in your home. You’ll typically only hire a local home stager when selling your home.
