It’s not worth fixing a 20-year-old dishwasher or any 20-year-old appliance. Twenty years is beyond the useful life span of nearly every major household appliance. You should deep-clean your dishwasher every month for optimal performance. A simple scrub down using a homemade vinegar liquid solution is all you need, but don’t use cleaners that aren’t for dishwashers.
