This small business is a family affair from wife and my daughter running the behind the scene works off a company such finicals and with advertisement to me and my son working together as a team to provide great experience to the locals of Harrisburg with any of their needs or projects around the house. Our mission is to provide the best quality work for a low cost to make it more affordable than big name companies. I used to work for big companies and always felt that the bottom line was about the revenue than the actual customer themselves. I started this company a year ago to put my customers first and that is what this company will always strive to do. When you need a handyman put your faith in a small company that puts your interest first.

We are currently booked through 2019 with windows and Doors and would love an opportunity if interested in getting replaced in 2020. My business was created to ensure people that there are still good contractors in this world and I can prove it! I have built relationships with industry leading professionals and want to share my experience with you through education and service. We want to be the solution to your problem and will always do just that.

"We had our whole house done in Hardiplank including all of the trim and soffits and had some gutters replaced. Lasting Impressions did a fantastic job. Our house was old so there needed to be some wood replaced but they always informed us and waited for our approval. Once we did approve they were quick, professional and high quality with all their work. Our house looks great. They were by far the best price for the work they did and Eric was great to work with. Very responsive and made sure it was done right."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

You don’t need an electrician to change an outlet—but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hire one. Working with electricity can be dangerous, not only for you but also for your home and the members of your household. There’s the risk of electrocution, poor wiring burnout, and electrical fire. When you hire a licensed electrician, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your electrical outlets are installed correctly and up to code.

Amps describe the amount of energy that can flow through a circuit breaker. Every electrical device that’s attached to the breaker requires about 1.5 amps. While that equates to roughly 13 receptacles per 20 amps, using slightly fewer ensures that your circuit will always have enough energy for sudden power surges instead of tripping when one occurs. In general, 10 to 12 receptacles is recommended for a 20 amp circuit.

A light switch should be at least 2 inches from the edge of the trim of a door. The location of wall studs will often help determine where to put the light switch by your doorway, and in most cases, wall studs make it impossible to install the switch closer than 2 inches. When possible, try to keep the switch within arm’s length of the entryway.

Yes, if something sparks when you plug it in or turn it on, it's important to unplug it immediately. A spark from an electrical appliance or device could indicate a short circuit, damaged wiring, or other electrical problems that could cause electrical fires or electrical shock. By unplugging the appliance, you can reduce the risk of electrical hazards and prevent damage to the device itself. It's important to avoid using the appliance until it has been inspected and repaired by a licensed professional to ensure that it’s safe to use.

There are a few reasons your lights may be on, but the rest of your electrical outlets and appliances are not working. The first is that while one circuit blew out, the lights may be on another circuit than your other electrical fixtures. Alternatively, your powerless appliances may be plugged into a GFCI outlet that was tripped and needs to be reset. If these issues aren’t responsible for the problem, you may have dead outlets or a wiring issue. Either way, you should contact an electrician to identify and fix the issue.
