"Called Universal approximately 11:00 am 03/03/2021 to place a service call. Call was answered promptly, and I was told that a technician would be available today between 2 and 5 o'clock that day. Shortly thereafter Universal called back and told me that a tech was available early, which was great. Technician Keonte Gross arrived at approximately 12:30 and diagnosed the problem immediately. Problem was repaired in only a few minutes. Universal Plumbing, Keonte is a KEEPER! Needless to say I am completely satisfied."

Williams Sewer & Drain Inc. has been in business since 1969 and offers a wide array of services to its customers ranging from plumbing repairs to portable restroom rentals. It has always been our goal to offer quality services at an affordable price and to never leave anyone needing our services in distress. We also pride ourselves in our very quick response to emergency situations. Our customers know that they can call on us day or night to solve their most critical plumbing needs and we will be there right away, this is the premise that Jerry D. Williams started the company with and has been the foundation of our company for more than 44 years now. In the early years Jerry operated the business as a part time business where he and a helper would go out at night and on the weekends to help customers who had called in earlier in the day as Jerry already had a full time job. Nights and Weekends were the only times available to take care of the customers needs. This was the process for several years, until the amount of work increased and Full time employees were added to serve the customers in a more timely manor. In addition to plumbing repairs Jerry also saw the need in the area for a portable restroom service and purchased several units for renting in 1973. As time went on this addition to the company began to grow one by one, and from this Jiffy Jon was born. Presently Jiffy Jon has nearly 500 portable restrooms available for rent for Construction Sites and Special Events of all kinds. In 1990 Jerry's son Scott joined the business as Vice President / Manager and he continues to oversee day to day operations today.

"Matt and Brandon got to us as quickly as possible, and their work was super. The City did cut the water off, but these two guys dug out and replaced our cut off valve. Thankfully, the water did not run all night, but we now have a proper water cutoff. Thanks again to Matt and Brandon for their expertise. We hope to get them the next time we need work done. Thank you!!"

"Incredibly great work. Jamie and his staff were prompt in getting my cast iron coated and sealed. He was very kind and caring about our situation (stopped working at 7pm one night so that the kids could go to bed since what he was doing was making quite a bit of noise). He made sure things were cleaned up when finished. I was very thankful of how he was walking us through the process of what he was doing to the pipe. Helped my wife and I understand the steps it took to get the cast iron usable again. I would 100% recommend this company to anybody in the CSRA."

"The plumber, Jesse, is outstanding. He is a complete professional. He dug up my yard, replaced the PVC, and restored the yard to where you were unable to tell it was disturbed. "I have nothing but positive things to say about Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain. I first called at 12 pm and Tony (the owner) answered the phone. He explained the ins and outs of the sewer system in addition he let me know what to look out for if I decided to let someone else pump the sewer tank. After getting off of the phone with him, I felt more confident in making a decision. I call another company and they actually priced me a little cheaper price however I decided not to go with them and go with my gut feeling. I called Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain back at 1 pm and spoke with his wife (Susan). After some small chat and laughter, she scheduled an appointment for me and contacted one of their crews that was on another job. Within 30 minutes, I received a call to let me know they were on the way. The crew members were awesome after all they were "Devil Dogs" and we had stories to talk about. By 3:30 pm, the gunked up sewer tank had been pumped and I was back at work. I could not ask for a better experience or quicker turnaround about something I had no clue about. I would strongly recommend giving Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain a call."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

A sewer cleanout typically looks like a white or gray PVC pipe with a removable cap. It's often located either in your yard or basement, depending on your home's plumbing configuration. The cleanout pipe is designed to provide easy access to your sewer system for maintenance and inspections. It may be flush with the ground or slightly elevated, making it distinguishable from other pipes. When you remove the cap, you can access the sewer line directly or determine its direction, which can be helpful when you need to locate your sewer line from your house to the street.

Simple blockages can be cleared using household plungers or manual snakes, provided no severe plumbing issues exist.

It might be possible to dissolve hair caught in a drain, but it’s usually not a good way to go about clearing the clog. Some sources mention that baking soda and vinegar can do the trick, but this won’t actually dissolve the hair. The hydrochloric acid in drain cleaners can dissolve the hair over time, but it will much more quickly destroy your plumbing pipes and leave you with bigger issues. The best way to remove hair is to do it manually with a drain snake or to have a plumber use an auger to pull clogs out.

Some flushable wipes companies say they are designed to disintegrate within a few hours to a few days after being flushed. These wipes allegedly use materials that are more water-soluble than traditional wipes. However, many experts have raised concerns that even so-called "flushable" wipes do not break down as easily as claimed and can contribute to clogs and blockages in sewer systems.

To prevent plumbing and sewer problems, avoid flushing wipes, even those labeled as flushable. Instead, dispose of them in the trash. This can help prevent costly plumbing issues and reduce the strain on wastewater treatment systems.
