Twin Systems, LLC is proud to be a fully Licensed, Bonded, and Insured Veteran Owned Business. We take pride in employing only professional, honest, and highly qualified Service Technicians, who are able to install, maintain, and repair Total Water Systems, including, but not limited to: •Water Treatment Systems •Residential Fire Sprinkler Systems •Radiant Heating •Irrigation Systems •Backflow Prevention •Mobile Hot Water •Water Heaters •Piping System Troubleshooting •Heat Recovery Systems •Green Plumbing Systems

"Initial install of building sewer, water lines and bathroom toilet and sink went very well. Our problem began with the two small inline under the sink hot water heaters which they provided under their contract and installed. Both heaters, however, exceeded the electrical capacity of the building both in amperage and wire gauge, but were installed regardless, but not tested. Our breakers would flip within a minute after turning on the hot water. We requested that the hot water heaters be replaced with something that met the electrical specs. After 3 months of requesting recommendations for a solution, none was provided. In order to move ahead with the final building inspection I purchased two small under the sink small (2 gallons or less) hot water heaters for under $300.00 (total) and had Twin Systems install. Big mistake! I did not expect a bill for this rework (at least not for the labor) but was charged $900.00 ($875.00 of which was for labor to install the two heaters that I had provided). Furthermore, one replacement heater still remains unworkable since the cord requires a plug which Twin Systems cannot connect since they do not do electrical work, and suggested that I hire an electrician. I was never provided an estimate for this rework, only a bill, and was reminded recently that if the $900.00 bill was not paid in full soon that I would be charged late fees."

"I have nothing but positive things to say about Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain. I first called at 12 pm and Tony (the owner) answered the phone. He explained the ins and outs of the sewer system in addition he let me know what to look out for if I decided to let someone else pump the sewer tank. After getting off of the phone with him, I felt more confident in making a decision. I call another company and they actually priced me a little cheaper price however I decided not to go with them and go with my gut feeling. I called Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain back at 1 pm and spoke with his wife (Susan). After some small chat and laughter, she scheduled an appointment for me and contacted one of their crews that was on another job. Within 30 minutes, I received a call to let me know they were on the way. The crew members were awesome after all they were "Devil Dogs" and we had stories to talk about. By 3:30 pm, the gunked up sewer tank had been pumped and I was back at work. I could not ask for a better experience or quicker turnaround about something I had no clue about. I would strongly recommend giving Burnley Sanitary Sewer & Drain a call."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

This depends on the location of the blockage. If the blockage is in your home’s system, anywhere in the system, it is your responsibility as a homeowner. Blockages seldom happen because of items or buildup coming from the city, which means it originates in the home. It becomes the city’s responsibility at the exact point your home’s line distributes waste into the city’s system. The exception is if the problem in your home damages the city lines.

You should not attempt to snake your sewer yourself. Accessing and snaking your sewer requires heavy-duty equipment, and while renting is possible, misusing it can damage your sewer main and leave you with very expensive repair costs, not to mention potential environmental issues and severe water damage. Accessing your sewer also exposes you to hazardous sewer gasses, and failing to seal the sewer properly after work can be very dangerous. It’s always best to hire a professional sewer cleaner near you to handle this type of work.

An active cleaning agent and a drain snake is the best way to clean a main sewer line. You can purchase a regular or enzyme drain cleaner or make a DIY drain cleaner with baking soda. Use your chosen solution at least once a month or as needed to keep your sewer line clear.

Your home has a few telltale signs of a sewer line problem. If you notice multiple plumbing fixtures (toilet, sink, or shower drains) appear to be clogged, call a plumber ASAP. Also, if water appears in the tub or shower when you flush the toilet, you likely have a sewer line issue. A sulfur (rotten eggs) smell and bubbling or gurgling noises at the drain also warrant a check. And keep your eyes peeled for changes to the yard, such as a new indentation or mysteriously soggy grass.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.
