Simple One person operation giving quality service for over 30 years.

"I had Mr. Blume come out to sweep my chimney on a wood stove that had been professionally installed a few years ago only for him to tell me the chimney support was not installed right and I needed to have it reworked and some other things done. He charge me a $125 service call and was going to get back to me with an estimate on what it would cost to do this. He never got back to me. I feel totally taken advantage of and ripped off!!!!!! I'm a widow on a fixed income which he knew."

"I cancelled a job I put a deposit of $10,826.95 down for because the sale of my home fell through. I cancelled on June 13th and I still haven't received my refund as of 8/19. We have reached out on 3 separate occasions. My wife and I have been told different stories by different people as to what happened, but not much of it is adding up. After holding our deposit for over two months the manager said-- "We cannot do anything more to compensate you." Apparently, it is being overnighted this evening. Sadly, my advice is to proceed with caution. I give 2-stars because they apparently still have the money to refund me, it could have been worse I suppose."

"Contacted A+ to have squirrel removed. We were not sure how many squirrels were up in our attic when we called. They came and set 2 humane traps on a Monday morning and 2 days later the squirrel was caught and they came to get the squirrel the day it was caught. They left the other trap set up. On Friday of that same week, they came and removed the 2nd trap that was still empty. They then sealed up all the locations where squirrels could possibly be getting in. Their office location is about an hour from our home but they took on the job and made the multiple trips to our home in one week to take care of our problem. We would definitely hire them again."

Metal roofs have a reputation for being very noisy, but with proper installation and adequate installation, metal roofs aren’t much noisier than shingle roofs. Some types and gauges of metal roofing provide more sound dampening, and added insulation or a thicker underlayment can also help muffle noise.

Zinc roofs can last over 100 years under ideal conditions. While metal roofs last a long time, only copper roofing is comparable to zinc's longevity. Zinc roofing develops a patina over time, turning from dark shades to lighter ones. The material, or at least the patina coating, is somewhat self-healing by filling in small gaps and scratches on its own.  

Metal roofs can rust, but steel is a material that holds up well to environmental factors, especially if it’s painted or galvanized. One of the main determining factors regarding rust is the environment the roof is in. Harsher environments with a lot of salt in the air will rust much more quickly than a steel or metal roof in a dry climate. Zinc-coated steel, called galvanized steel, is excellent at preventing rust from forming.

The actual construction time required to repair your roof may only be a few hours, but it could also be a couple of days for extensive repairs or a large roof. But you may find yourself having to wait weeks for the insurance claim to go through, including having the adjuster visit your home and make their report. After your claim has been approved, there may be a wait time for roofing materials or to find time on a contractor's schedule.

In the metal versus shingle roof debate, aluminum roofing has several advantages. However, aluminum roofing costs more than typical asphalt roofing, so up-front cost is a major downside. Aluminum is also somewhat susceptible to denting, and repairs can be more costly than for other roof types because your roofer will need to replace large panels rather than individual shingles. Aluminum roofs are also noisy in the rain, which some homeowners don’t like.
