"Great service! I had to get work done quickly and they worked with my schedule and didn’t need me to be home to get my tree trimmed. They sent pictures of the progress to me while I was at work and it turned out great. Would recommend them for a quality job!"

"I am beyond impressed with the services I received from this company. Mike Korzeniewski ground the stump in my yard and pulled up the roots. He is a trustworthy, honest, hardworking man. He responded quickly to my call and showed up punctually. I definitely recommend his services for those that need trees removed and stumps ground. I will definitely hire him again if needed in the future. Very reasonably priced with amazing work ethic."

"I, Thomas R. Young, highly recommend Arbor Elite Tree Services for their services work ethics. Our property had two yellow pines that I desired to be removed so that roof replacement wouldn't be affected by one of the branches overhanging the aforementioned roof. I additionally needed a troublesome shrub cleared on the right side of our driveway so a widening attempt would have an easier transition. Bill and his team went far and beyond this to address other concerns I had with the property having had made a list beforehand while consulting my family. One of the many concerns were a prior hired company that left tree stumps, caused a yard water leak, and left a widow maker in broken branches. Another concern was property overgrowth from previous ownership where nature was trying to claim the house as its own. Now the yard feels much more open, safe, comfortable, and workable. Now my mother in law can enjoy being creative in her garden. Massive thanks to Bill and his team at Arbor Elite!"

"I hired this company to remove two large tree limbs. The crew did an excellent job. The owner was professional yet personable. Friendly customer service from everyone. I’ve already referred them to a neighbor."

"Better than I ever imagined. Cut down one live tree, 3 dead trees and trimmed a very large tree. One tree was in danger of hitting the house (from storm) and he figured out a major rope and pulley system to Safely remove the difficult tree. The yard has left debris free . Love the look of my open yard now."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.

For trimming trees, your best tool is a pair of pruning shears or loppers. Both options work best for branches that are under 3 inches in diameter. Trimming trees with a larger diameter may require a robust tool like a small chainsaw or a handsaw, so take into account your tree’s diameter when deciding between tools.

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.

Tree roots don’t necessarily break through concrete on their own, but they can certainly take advantage of existing cracks, even very small ones. As roots grow, they expand the cracks, making them larger and leading to serious and costly foundation damage. It’s a good idea to have repairs on any foundation cracks you’re concerned about.
