"Great service! I had to get work done quickly and they worked with my schedule and didn’t need me to be home to get my tree trimmed. They sent pictures of the progress to me while I was at work and it turned out great. Would recommend them for a quality job!"

"I am beyond impressed with the services I received from this company. Mike Korzeniewski ground the stump in my yard and pulled up the roots. He is a trustworthy, honest, hardworking man. He responded quickly to my call and showed up punctually. I definitely recommend his services for those that need trees removed and stumps ground. I will definitely hire him again if needed in the future. Very reasonably priced with amazing work ethic."

"The job was professionally completed in a timely manner. The recommendations offered were smart. Our towering tree limbs were to close to the house and were removed from a riverbirch, oaks and a fir tree. The young men were polite and well mannered. The receptionist was very helpful and delightful to talk with. I highly recommend this company!"

"They were quick to respond, their price was reasonable with no upselling of unnecessary treatment to trees that I did not ask for. They cleaned up the area of the work and left my yard undamaged and worked quickly. I would hire them again."

"The Frontier Outdoor team was very professional, from the minute I spoke with Nataly in the office, Alex coming out to give us a quote, to the team that took care of our tree, I can't say enough about how pleasant and professional they were. Alex understood that we were in a time crunch due to having construction getting ready to take place in our yard and he made it work! The tree team came out and took the tree and limbs down, and ground down the stump in record time. The price was right too! I highly recommend Outdoor Frontier and will use them in the future for my tree service needs."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

Rock salt or Epsom salt can damage and kill tree roots over several weeks and can even assist in removing the tree's stump. However, you need to drill holes or cut into the stump and surface tree roots to inject them properly with the salt. Repeat the process every two weeks until the roots visibly rot away.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.
