"My undermount kitchen sink fell in on itself and I was not finding any contractor that would touch and undermount sink. Juan was more than willing and capable. It was a difficult task due to I wanted to replace the sink with a single bowl going from a dual bowl. The new sink was a challenge due to it being it slightly larger and deeper. The cabinet also was challenge, due it being a little small for the new sink as well, so he had to modify it, but it when he put it back together, it was like it never happened. He was able to remove the old sink, install the new sink, and update the plumbing for the single bowl as well. I could not be happier!"

"Due to a truck backing into my house, Your Exterior Pros replaced my whole home stucco with Hardie Board, replaced all trim, painted whole home, and did a fantastic job with it. I worked with Wils, Jared, Beth, Jimmy, and a dedicated crew. They worked hard and steadily every day until the job was complete. I am posting a before/after photo of the front of the house. It is a small, humble home, but they treated my home like it was a mansion. I can't get the after photo to reflect the correct color. It is actually more Grey-blue than Blue-grey. I would call on them for any exterior work in the future. They really are great people and I strongly recommend them. Honestly, I do recommend getting 3 estimates on any construction/repair work....then ask for their business license, certificate of insurance (bonding). They were not only the most competitive but the only one who promptly provided me with the requested information."

"When I reached out to Teddy Graham Interior Painters for a quote, I had already worked with the owner, James, under different circumstances several years earlier. I asked for several quotes, but the most important was for painting an interior room and removing the textured ceiling. I was mid-renovation when I called – we had opened several walls to create an open concept living/kitchen/dining room and there was no plan to finish the ceiling. It was my first renovation, and I was unaware of just how much of the ceiling would be opened. Since it’s an older home, the entire house has a textured ceiling. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get rid of the texture and create a modern space. From the beginning, James’ crew was punctual, respectful, responsive, and professional. They took care to cover all the new cabinets and used every tool possible to limit the amount of dust from the sanding to remove the texture. I thought that removing the texture would be the difficult part, but I was wrong. Once that was done, they began the process of smoothing the ceiling. They ran into several issues due to the tape and mud job that was done by the contractor’s crew but were able to smooth things out and start painting. Unfortunately, they kept seeing different spots of the ceiling crack, right along the lines of the new drywall. No matter what they tried, new cracks appeared and cracks they fixed reformed. Unable to find a reason for the cracking or a solution, they decided it was time to take a look at what was going on in the attic. It is thanks to their diligence that I learned that the contractor had “forgotten” to reattach the joists that support the roof after they installed a new LVL beam. If you just had a W** moment, I assure you I was right there with you. Unfortunately, this has spiraled into larger issues with the contractor, but if not for James’ team, specifically Brandon, taking the time to find a reason for the ongoing cracking I would never have known the joists weren’t attached. Since there was very little work left for the contractor to do, it’s possible that the issue would never have been addressed. I can’t praise their work ethic enough, nor their compassion as I began to panic about their discovery. At some point in the future, I will be asking them to return to finish the ceiling. The room, which was painted, looks beautiful. I’m incredibly happy with their work and look forward to working with them again."

"We recently hired Anthony Stucco as we suspected water damage within several walls that might require restuccoing prior to having our house painted. Sergio, and his son Anthony, explored the suspicious areas thoroughly. One location in particular had substantial water damage. We were given a step by step and detailed description of what the repairs would entail. When the restuccoing was done, it was absolutely artistic. They used stucco tinted to a color that was almost an exact match to the existing color and the stucco applications blended perfectly with the adjoining wall and trim surfaces. The completed job included stuccoing the chimney, service area and the water damaged area. We are very satisfied with Anthony Stucco’s workmanship and professionalism. We highly recommended this company to anyone needing stucco work and we would not hesitate to call on them in the future."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can apply the stucco yourself, but it is a time- and labor-intensive project, especially on the exterior of a whole house. DIY stucco is better suited for repairing stucco siding or siding a smaller building, such as a shed or garage. Since most of the cost of stucco siding goes to labor, you can cut down significantly on the total if you’re up for the challenge.

Repaired stucco requires regular inspections, cleaning to prevent mold or mildew build-up, and timely minor repairs to address hairline cracks. Applying protective sealants can also enhance longevity and maintain its appearance.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

The length of time shouldn’t matter much if you stick with lightweight Christmas lights and similar decorations. Those shouldn’t pose risks to your stucco. You should avoid attaching anything to your stucco that could fall because it’s too heavy, which may take part of the stucco with it. Some methods, like using double-sided tape or adhesive hooks, will naturally wear out over time and lead to falling lights, so don’t expect to leave these lights up year-round.

Stucco applied over brick can last 30 to 50 years or more when correctly applied and properly maintained. Stucco’s lifespan can be shortened by improper application, incorrectly mixed material, lack of preparation before application, and lack of maintenance. To get the most life out of your stucco siding, keep up with maintenance and repair any damage as soon as you discover it.
