"They were super quick to respond, squeezed me in the same day, and completely took care of the hornets nest on my porch. A couple of phone calls, and the problem was resolved before I even got home from work. I thought the price was very reasonable, especially given the immediacy of the response. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quick, easy, quality work from competent and caring professionals."

"The wife and I started using Metcalfe pest control back in 2018; we've used a few other local companies in the past and seen no positive result. Due to the small marsh that runs across our backyard, mosquitos have always been a considerable nuisance. Throwing away money each year for treatment and seeing no results became very discouraging. Just when we were about to give up, a family friend recommended Metcalfe. John showed up the next day after I called and treated our yard for the first time. I haven't seen a mosquito since, and that was four seasons ago. I highly recommend these guys for all your pest control needs; they are true masters at their craft. John is resourceful, knowledgeable, and just an overall stand-up guy. A+++ company!"

"This my first experience with Encon Pest Control of their service. I like to especially thank Mr.Ron for his wonderful service and took care of the job as he is going as like his own house, he was very polite, nice, and so generous. If there was the rating system 100 instead of 5.0 I would rate Encon and Mr.Rob 100. Again thank you so much for your service, looking forward to sticking with Encon Pest Control for many years to come."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

While cats are great at rodent control, it is their second nature to use the soft dirt of your garden as a litter box. This can lead to the contamination of your food and the spread of disease in humans.

Bed bugs typically live between 10 months to one year, but they lay enough eggs that an infestation can continue to multiply and worsen without professional intervention. These pests can survive up to one year without eating, so you can’t expect a bed bug infestation to resolve without proper treatment.

Yes, predator decoys work to keep birds away, at least temporarily. However, if the decoy remains motionless in the same spot for a long enough time, the birds will eventually wise up and realize it's a fake. Keep changing the location of the predator decoy to ensure that the birds keep their guard up and maintain their distance.

Yes, termites in your yard can be something to be concerned about, especially if they’re close to your home. While not all outdoor colonies pose an immediate threat, termites can move from wood piles, tree stumps, or mulch, eventually making their way to your home’s structure. If you see mud tubes, damaged wood, or swarming activity, it’s a good idea to schedule a professional termite inspection to prevent potential infestation.

Natural methods such as spraying orange oil, spreading diatomaceous earth, or spreading boric acid can help prevent termites from entering your home or damaging your garden. Place these solutions near termite entry points to deter them. Termites also dislike the smell of cedarwood, geranium, and tea tree oil, which can all be used to keep termites away.
