His quote was competitive, but what struck me the most is his creative approach to the work and willingness to do something "outside of the box". He removed a portion of the wall, used pressure treated lumber to keep cost down, and installed a new side set of stairs in place of the broken wall. He then proceeded to fix the remaining portion of the wall with cement. He went above and beyond to install sod to keep a portion of the dirt intact. He and his sons ground and mortared it and it's fabulous! They repaired the interior and exterior brick work of the house, so it does not happen again. They worked quickly and cleaned up everything. They even constructed an indoor cave to work in, to trap any brick dust from spreading around the house. Tom also had the best prices, and I got five estimates. I recommend him 100%!"
