"Is the limit only 5 stars? Bob did several jobs for me that I can no longer do for myself. This included painting a 50 foot concrete garage, removing 2 custom made interior doors, & taking them to his shop, where he stained & polyurethane them. Then he power-washed my natural shingle, cape style house, following that he painted the concrete foundation of said house! We not only got a painter, we got a friend!"

"We hired Paul (Quality Painting) to paint the whole interior of a house we purchased. We were so impressed by the care and attention he put into the project. It was a big job and Paul had to do a lot of work to correct shoddy work done previously in the house. He had an amazing attention for detail. It felt like he put as much care into painting our home that he would into painting his own home. He was very professional and easy to work with. And he was a great value! He gave us a very reasonable quote compared to the other painters we met with. We were very happy with the final product and will be recommending Paul to anyone we know who needs painting services."

"We were very pleased with Lucas Medeiros for the painting of our house and deck. All of the workers were on time each day, and were efficient in getting the job done in a timely manner. They left the area clean and did not leave until they checked everything. We would definitely recommend this company and would certainly look to them for future work."

"Great work power washing, staining, and leveling our large deck. Melvin came out to give us a decent estimate. Workers worked for 2 days straight on the project and were pleasant and professional. Customer service kept up to date on the project and was also very pleasant and professional. I now have a beautiful deck. Would hire again without a doubt!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Oxygen bleach uses hydrogen peroxide as a base and won’t harm wood when using it as a cleaner. On the other hand, chlorine bleach breaks down wood at the cellular level and causes irreversible harm. Although you may not see immediate damage to wood after exposing it to chlorine bleach, its strength and integrity are now compromised.

There’s no single paint that’s the most waterproof. Instead, there are several types of waterproof and water-resistant paints that suit different purposes. Epoxy paint, for instance, is commonly used to provide a waterproof coating to floors and decks. Masonry paint is an excellent choice for exterior walls. Meanwhile, there are waterproof acrylic paints that can be used for interior and exterior walls. It’s more about choosing the best type for what you’re painting instead of the most waterproof paint overall.

Yes, you can waterproof any wood that has not already been treated. A good way to test this is to splash some water on it. If the water starts to bead up, the wood is treated and most likely doesn’t need another coating.

Exterior paints contain more volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, making them dangerous when used indoors. Without the free ventilation of the great outdoors, it can take longer for the fumes to dissipate than interior paint. While you may notice the smell lessening more quickly, you should be wary of paint fumes inside for 48 to 72 hours after it dries.

The best way to prepare your vinyl fence for a paint job is to clean it with warm, soapy water and rinse it with a hose or pressure washer on a low setting. Be sure to let it totally dry, then sand the surface before applying an epoxy-based primer. After the primer, you're ready to paint your vinyl fence.
