"I wanted to express how pleased I am at the completion of our entry steps. You worked with us so that we would stay within our budget. We requested you to reuse all of the paver stones we had from our old steps. You really did a great job on the top level cutting the stone to make a very nice pattern. We now have a firm foundation that is level, very sturdy and now safe for our family to use. Great job Daniel and to your crew at Jaguar Stone & Land, LLC - Warminster, PA 18975. Audrey R."

Green Ridge Landscaping, Inc. is a full-service commercial landscape and snow removal company with a state-of-the-art facility located in West Norriton, Pennsylvania. We have been servicing commercial clients throughout Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Chester counties for 25 years, specializing in Townships, Municipalities, School Districts, and HOA & Community landscaping. We offer a full range of property services that are custom tailored to meet your needs. Whether you need turf maintenance and mowing, landscape maintenance and installation, athletic field maintenance and renovation or commercial snow removal you can trust us to provide you with superior quality and dependability with a focus on sustainable, cost-effective solutions.

"We had a lot of work completed on our home (read: an expensive job). We had a paver walkway installed. We had some irrigation work (ran downspouts underground to run off points) completed. We expanded gardens that didn't previously have any foundation plantings by adding trees and shrubs, and changed the outdoor lighting. The team was quick to secure and complete the work, but the problem has been the follow up / remediation. The crew chief came out afterwards and noted soil settling where the irrigation work was completed, and that a tree and some shrubs were dying back. He talked about adding soil / seed because the settling was significant (obvious), and replacing plantings (trees / shrubs) that didn't fare well (tree trunk snapped by crew member and has been dying back since). I've contacted the crew chief who made the commitments, particularly since there is a warranty on plantings. Repeated calls and emails have not produced a result. So I strongly recommend avoiding this firm because they do not live to the commitments made."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Water your yard a little more deeply after a drought for about two weeks (while still avoiding overwatering). Continue to water in the early morning hours before 10 a.m. You'll also want to invest in some high-quality fertilizer to get more nutrients to your roots and help them grow back stronger and quicker. Look up your grass and soil type, or do a soil test, to see what type of fertilizer you need.

You should wait about seven to 10 days after you top dress your lawn to mow. This will give the ground ample time to absorb the nutrients from the sand, topsoil, and compost, and help facilitate growth before you trim the existing grass. It’s also best to water the lawn frequently in the week or so after you top dress and before you mow.

You can thicken new grass by using fertilizer, watering it 1 to 1½ inches per week, mowing when it is at an optimal height, and preventing weeds. You should fertilize your grass while you plant the grass seed, or soon afterward. Use an herbicide to prevent weeds or spot spray with herbicide to kill existing weeds.

In general, expect to mulch your leaves about once or twice every fall. You want there to be a decent amount of leaves on the ground, but not too much where it’s difficult for the mower to cut through.

Many experts say anytime before 10 a.m. is a good time to water grass, but this does depend a bit on the climate conditions where you live. For example, if you live in South Florida and it’s already 95 degrees by 7:30 a.m., it may simply be too hot to effectively water your lawn, regardless of what the time is.
