Will put him on my plumbers-to-call list. "If I could give this company a 0 rating I would. This company was contracted to my elderly parents house through AHS warranty September 18 or 19 2024. The technician came out to check the cold water pipe in the shower. My dad was on hospice at the time and they were told it needed fixed ASAP. The technician said a part needed ordered. Once leaving they told AHS the ticket was complete. The cold water pipe trickled out. My mom called over and over and this company would not answer her calls or return her messages. Yet they would answer any time AHS called and would always say they were waiting on a part. It has now been 2 months and we still can not get a hold of this company and they still don’t return calls. They have already been paid through AHS. They have taken advantage of an elderly couple. And my dad had to take showers with hardly any water until he passed away"

"CRS did a great job on replacing a leaking gas line to my home - all work - trenching, new lines, risers, working with People's Gas to get new meter and house-tie-in completed, backfilled, seeded, and straw-cover done in one day. I very much appreciated the high quality work and the speed in which things got done."

In 2005, Brian J. Owens founded a small excavating company. First contracting with local Clearfield builders, the company has grown over the years and expanded. We are currently serving central Pennsylvania in Centre, Clearfield, Jefferson, Blair, and Huntington Counties. We offer a wide range of excavating services including, demolitions, snow control, septic services, and much more.

"Wonderfully done work from very stand up guys. The crew is personable and works quickly. Everything that was needed was done and comes at a good cost. We are very happy with the results and would recommend anyone needing any excavation work to go with Brian. All piping looks great, and they did a lot of work in the time that they were here."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Your sewer pro will take about an hour to complete your sewer line camera inspection. However, if your home does not have cleanout access and the pro needs to remove the toilet to access the sewer line, the time to completion will take longer. Note that this estimated time does not include the time for repair, drain cleaning, or any other services you may need.

No, it’s best not to leave baking soda and vinegar in the drain overnight. While using baking soda and vinegar can be helpful to clear out hair and debris in your bathtub drain, this mixture might start to corrode your drainpipes due to its caustic nature if left in the drain too long or used too often.

If you’ll be digging up your floor to get access to your pipes when putting in a sewer backflow preventer, this would also be a good time to take care of any other plumbing issues or renovations. For example, you could install additional pipes for a basement bathroom. Since the floor will be sealed over with concrete when you’re done, now’s a good time to take care of those bigger tasks.

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. However, your drain cleaning pro might not be able to give you a firm time estimate until inspecting the clog and its surrounding plumbing.

If you’re wondering whether rats can come up the toilet, the unfortunate answer is yes, it’s possible, though it’s extremely rare. These rodents are excellent swimmers and can travel through sewer pipes in search of food, and they may follow plumbing lines leading to your home if they’re drawn by the scent of scraps and waste. The toilet’s U-bend holds a small pocket of air, which can help a rat catch its breath before making its final push into your bathroom. While more common in cities with larger rat populations, this can happen anywhere with connected sewer systems; sealing entry points and keeping drains clean can help reduce the risk.
