"If I could give this company a 0 rating I would. This company was contracted to my elderly parents house through AHS warranty September 18 or 19 2024. The technician came out to check the cold water pipe in the shower. My dad was on hospice at the time and they were told it needed fixed ASAP. The technician said a part needed ordered. Once leaving they told AHS the ticket was complete. The cold water pipe trickled out. My mom called over and over and this company would not answer her calls or return her messages. Yet they would answer any time AHS called and would always say they were waiting on a part. It has now been 2 months and we still can not get a hold of this company and they still don’t return calls. They have already been paid through AHS. They have taken advantage of an elderly couple. And my dad had to take showers with hardly any water until he passed away"

If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might. With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house).
