"I hired Jack and crew to replace a portion of my deck. For a nominal fee, Jack came out, evaluated my deck and gave me an estimate. The nominal fee went toward the estimate, which I thought was fair and reasonable. The cost I felt was fair, not cheap, but not expensive. It was a big, messy job to grind off 10+ layers of old, peeling paint from concrete flooring/steps and sandstone "caps" on the brick "pony" walls that surround the porch. "Firstly, this review is two years after the fact because both spouses thought that the other spouse had posted a review! (I know!...our apologies!) More importantly, this is a first-rate company with high standards for both their work and their employees!! We will definitely return to this company for any future work we require. Workers were always punctual, good-natured, and respectful of our property. The project was a tear-off of a porch tar roof and replace with metal roofing. Also, the second-floor surrounding wood shakes were replaced with siding that resembled wood shakes. Rotted wood soffit was replaced, painted and matched to existing soffit. A spotlight was replaced in that same area. The leaking roof had brought down plaster inside the house; the ceiling was patched and painted to match the existing ceiling. Two years later and the work looks great with no problems. Again, will definitely return to this company in future."
