"This was the first time I contracted Kings Gutters. I was happy with the service of the crew. They did excellent & thorough job, cleaned-up after completion and were courteous. I will hiore them for my next gutter cleaning. Also, customer service person, Lenni, was very courteous and kept me informed when the crew will be arriving."

"Hired Maid 2 Clean for a one-time cleaning service at our vacation home - Company sent two cleaners on the day of service. Scheduled for a morning appointment and the cleaners showed up over an hour late because they were lost. Upon arrival, communicated that we needed certain rooms on the lower level cleaned as a priority but because we needed to clear the floor of one of the bedrooms (which would take only 15 minutes) they had offered to start cleaning upstairs to start. They never came back downstairs and after cleaning upstairs for two full hours, cleaners took a short break and then left the property to make personal phone calls because it was getting late and because the job was taking longer than expected with limited time left. They had not even touched the areas and rooms we needed cleaned first. Called to speak with the Manager to work something out as I didn't realize they needed to leave by a certain time and was disappointed with the miscommunication and how the day went. As far as cleaning, overall satisfied with the job and other areas (such as the bathtub) were cleaned well. Would book again and for next time would make sure that the cleaners work on prioritized areas and allow extra time for work in case they run behind on schedule. Thank you!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re hiring someone to clean an empty and tidy house before you move in, there’s little prep work to do. Make sure to discuss your goals with the cleaning service, arrange entry to the house, and communicate any problem areas or special requests. If you’ve already moved into the house, or if it’s messy, it’s best to complete the following tasks before the cleaners arrive:

  • Declutter things like clothes, toys, or cardboard boxes

  • Do the dishes

  • Put fragile items in a safe spot where they can’t be accidentally broken

  • Keep pets away from cleaning areas

Many modern sculleries have a full range of kitchen appliances and are capable of whipping up large amounts of food—and cleaning the resulting dishes—and can be considered a smaller, more purpose-built kitchen. In some households, such as those with a private chef, the scullery is often used much more than the main kitchen.

Trash cans are some of the most likely areas in your home to harbor bacteria, insects, and foul odors, so you should plan on spot cleaning once a week and disinfecting and deep cleaning at least once per month. Doing so will help reduce the risk of mold growth, help prevent attracting insects into your home, and aid in eliminating unpleasant odors in your home. Add the task to your routine house cleaning checklist to make sure you don’t forget.

Clean high-traffic areas such as kitchen surfaces, bathroom surfaces, and bedding once per week. Deep clean other areas every three months to a year. How you use a space can help you figure out how often it should be cleaned, with areas where eating, bathing, and food prep occur getting the most frequent attention.

To find the best house cleaner to keep your place pristine while freeing up your time, ask for word-of-mouth recommendations and check online reviews. Arrange background checks for any housekeeper you’re considering hiring and ensure they have appropriate bonds and insurance. It's also worth interviewing the company or individual cleaner and outlining expectations.
