"Sean and his assistant did a great job grading and seeding a new drain line I had installed last fall, repairing my patio wall and filling in behind the wall. They also took the excess dirt from grading and filled in an area in my yard that was low. They graded an seeded this extra area and included it in the original quote. After finishing the job they cleaned up everything. If I ever need any excavating ,grading or drain work done in the future I will call High Cause Construction. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

Downspouts should be buried at least 5 to 10 feet away from your foundation. This can vary depending on your local building codes, soil type, and property slope. The main goal is to ensure water is directed away from your foundation.
