"I was dispatched this company through my home warranty. I had lost power to my detached garage across the alley from the house 3 weeks ago. I set up a lockbox with keys. Almost a week goes by and I hear nothing. Then I get an email from the home warranty asking me to rate Omni's service. ???? I called Omni to ask if they were out to the house and were they able to fix it. The woman that answered the phone said "Oh yeah. No, we didn't fix it. The gas company cut your wire. You need to call the electric company to get it fixed." That doesn't make sense but I call the gas service and they said, no, we have not done any work in that area. West Penn Power said they responsible only to the meter. I called Omni and I was told there is an asphalt patch in the road between the house and the garage so someone must have cut my wire. The technician who went to the house was not available. I retrieve the lock box and find the key will lock the garage but not open it. I called Omni and spoke to Brian. He agreed this didn't make much sense. I said I don’t think anyone went into the house or garage. I was calling out another electrician and asked if he want me to share my findings? Yes. Gary the service manager called and starts YELLING at me. I told him to stop shouting and calm down. He says "Ma'am YOU HAVE NO POWER TO YOUR GARAGE!!"" Exactly!!! That's why I called!! He continues to shout at me that his company has told me this repeatedly. I said I know there's no power by why do you keep saying a utility cut the line? Did your technician look at the junction box in the garage? Did he go in the house and check the switch that turns the power off and on to the garage from the kitchen? Did he check the circuit breaker. Again in full bay he screams "HE CHECKED EVERYTHING!!! YOU HAVE NO POWER!!!" Then where did you get that someone cut the line in the road. "There is a patch in the asphalt in the road so someone was working there and cut your power." Yes, but that was the township back in the summer upgrading the sewer infrastructure. I just lost power 3 weeks ago to the house. Do you know for a fact there was utility work? "No, We assumed. And no one ever told you the gas company cut your power." Yes, you did, the lady who answered the phone told me that. "Oh, well ma'am. WE ARE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO PUNISH HER, AREN'T WE!!! Have a nice DAY!!"" And slams the phone down. I call back and talk to Brian. I tell him that this is unacceptable. I don't want to be yelled at, no one wants this and I don't think this is how he wants his customers treated. He agreed stating home warranty work is his main source of business. I told him more than once I don't disagree with him about a break under the road but I want to know that this is indeed the correct problem and not something else. My electrician came out and tested everything. I had power going all the way out to the conduit out of the house but sadly nothing after that. So yes, they are correct. But my electrician was able to eliminate the breaker, the internal wiring, the switch in the kitchen that allows you to turn power off and on, and the wiring leaving the house. BIG difference from a picture of a patch in the road that, BTW, isn't where the conduit carrying the power to the garage is located. I promised Brian I'd share the information and I did in an email. I keep getting emails back from Gary the YELLER in CAPITAL. LETTERS. WITH. PERIODS. BETWEEN. EACH. WORD. "THIS. DISCUSSION. IS. OVER. WE. ARE. NOT. INTERESTED. IN. YOU. OR. YOUR. PROPERTY. WE. KEEP. TELLING. YOU. YOU. HAVE. NO. POWER. TO. YOUR. GARAGE." My recommendation is to run, don't walk, as far away from these idiots as possible. They say they have 30 years experience. In what, I'm not sure, but it's not electrical work or customer service. I've attached their "diagnostic tool". A picture of the alley. Where the gas company never cut my electric."

At Resnick Roofing & Contracting we have one primary goal in mind; to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers from start to finish. To achieve this, we keep it simple as we only offer The Best Products, The Best Installation, and The Best Warranty. Equally as important, we offer full transparency to our customers. We know the home improvement industry is known for tricks and ploys and forceful salespeople who are directed to “close” their customers on site. Our approach is the antithesis. In fact, in addition to meeting with Resnick Roofing & Contracting, we always recommend our customers meet with other contractors before making a final decision. We do this because we are confident they will be able to see the difference. From our first interaction with the customer to the last, our customers know exactly what to expect with no surprises as we set clear expectations from start to finish. We feel this is the only fair approach. In business since 2006, our leadership team has over 40 years of combined experience in the roofing/siding industry. Adam Resnick, Owner & Chief Executive Officer, has over 25 years in the business, working in all segments from installer, to distribution, to manufacturing, and most recently overseeing sales and distribution for the entire Southeast region for GAF, the world’s largest roofing manufacturer. While we are a small, local business, we have a very large footprint. With over 15 Sales, Service, and Installation Vehicles on the road daily, you’ve likely seen us in your backyard. In terms of credentials, we pride ourselves in training and certifications. But nothing validates our service and quality platform more than positive reviews from satisfied customers. With a simple online search for Resnick Roofing & Contracting you will find just that. From handwritten notes of satisfaction, to 5-star ratings on Google/Facebook/Guildquality, to A ratings with the Better Business Bureau.
"I had Resnick roofing install James Hardie siding on my entire home. We got their signature package that included custom shake design, with a custom color. The product seemed to be very heavy duty, and finished product looks great. Frank was our project manager, who was onsite everyday, and went out of his way to speak to me every evening and send me pics and updates at the end of each day. The crew that was assigned to install the siding were extremely hard workers and very professional. They work 12 hours days and finished the job in four days. St the end of each day they cleaned up, and at the end of the project they left my home and yard better than it was before they started. I inspected the work every day looking for anything that might not be right and didn’t find anything. I would highly recommend Resnick roofing to anyone and plan on using them again for future projects."

The average cost to install solar panels is around $26,600, and most homeowners pay between $4,500 and $53,000. Keep in mind that these prices don’t consider the federal investment tax credit (ITC), which can effectively reduce those costs by up to 30%. The price you can expect to pay for solar panel installation depends on the size of the system, where you live, the type and brand of panels, and the labor costs. Get price quotes from at least three solar companies in your area to find the best deal.
In most states, solar installers need to be licensed and insured as solar professionals, although some states don’t have specific requirements for installers. You can use our state licensing tool to check if an installer you’re considering hiring holds the proper licensing. No matter where you live, a member of your solar panel installation company must be a certified electrician to connect your panels to your home and the electric grid.
There are a few qualifying questions you should ask a local solar panel company before hiring them:
Will you handle permits for the installation?
Does your total price include the equipment and labor?
How long do you expect the installation process to take?
What kind of workmanship warranty do you include with your installations?
Who should I contact if I have a problem with my system after installation?
Do you install the panels or outsource the work to third parties?
Will you file for solar incentives for me?
In most cases, yes, solar panels are well worth the investment. Going solar with your home’s energy is expensive, but, in most states, the panels will pay for themselves by reducing your electric bills. Solar panels don’t produce greenhouse gasses or other pollutants, meaning you can feel good about using this renewable energy source to power your home. Plus, installing solar panels can boost your home value, helping your profit off your next home sale.
Yes, solar panel installation will require permits. The required permits will depend on where you live, as some states and cities have solar-specific permits, while others only require electrical permits to connect to the grid. In either case, it’s best to hire a reputable solar installer in your area, as a representative should handle all of the necessary permitting for you and will include the cost of the permits in your initial solar estimate.
