"CB&A (Custom Blinds & Retractable Awnings, LLC) installed an aluminum awning on my home November 3-4, 2023. On June 17, 2024, there was a storm that passed through my area and the wind lifted the awning off my deck and placed it upside down on my roof. I called Justin Roth on June 17, 2024 @ 5:50pm and asked him to come to the house and to assess the damage and answer a few questions. Justin was sent a video and pictures depicting the damage. Through several text messages and telephone calls and Justin's response was "I stand behind my work", and "it's an ACT OF GOD and there is no need for me to come out to your home.'' On Friday June 28, 2024, I emailed and sent pictures to Jack Roth (sales representative) to ask for assistance in this matter, he got defensive claiming "we stand behind their work" and that it was an "ACT OF GOD!" This phrase is used when one does not want to take responsibility for their work. Still to this day, July 8, 2024, Justin Roth or Jack Roth have not contacted me. Findings: The yard side four awning posts were not anchored properly. The lag screws were installed between the (gap) of the decking floorboards. The lag screws did not attach to the floor joists of the deck. Neither Jack Roth nor Justin Roth could DEFEND their work in person! Poor workmanship and very unprofessional with total disrespect for their customers' concerns. Result - I have a damaged home, no awning, and a higher insurance rate"
