Excellent. Amanda is an amazing design consultant and was with us the whole way. The company, under the watchful eye of Mr. Healey, was very responsive to our timing and needs, and made certain every detail of the renovation was to our satisfaction coming back multiple times to finish punch list items, repairs, etc etc. Would highly recommend! We have done many renovations over the years with different companies and this one stands out as incomparable!!!!

Beautifully for both. They listened carefully and developed plans that reflected our needs. The quality of their work was excellent, the materials they used were top-notch, and everyone involved was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. They gave us a time frame for the work to be completed and stuck to it both times. We recommend them highly.

Our toilet was not properly seated by previous owners of our home, which caused tile damage and a slow leak to the ceiling below. We had a great team of people repair the drywall, install new tile, and repair another drywall/plaster issue in another room. All the work was done perfectly and we were always kept in the loop when it came to the schedule & the work being done that day. Frankie was great to work with when making the tile choice, and managing the work being done. I would not hesitate to call the Healey Company again for remodeling or repairs. We already have a project or two in mind for them in the future.

While this was our first project working with a contractor, we are thrilled with the results of our bathroom remodel. We provided them with little detail in some areas and lots of detail in others, and their team never missed a beat designing an amazing bathroom meeting all of our wants. Their laborers do excellent work, are punctual and careful to clean. The designers work hard to find the materials you want while keeping you in the loop all along the way. Their system is nicely streamlined to stay on budget and on time, working with you to ensure you get your desired result. While it may be tricky to get your project on their schedule, you’ll be glad you did. I look forward to our next project together.

This is a talented group of workers, from the top on down. They are not satisfied with anything but excellent work, and make every effort to see to it that their work meets that high standard. I will definitely hire them again for any job that involves work on my home.

The Healey Company to the rescue again. Having used this company in the past to completely remodel the interior of our home, we trusted them to replace our leaky roof/gutters and soffit & fascia, as well as redesign colors and some architecture. They did not disappoint and in fact we were so pleased with the outcome, we planned on using them to replace shutters, garage doors, and windows. Unfortunately this beautification project was put on hold when they discovered black mold in the attic/basement that led to a nightmare of unknown moisture issues around the house to which they took the lead in helping us resolve and coordinate with mold remediation companies and experts. It was a stressful time, but we knew we were in trustworthy hands to assure our remediation, exterior french drains, new storm water drains, new brick walkway... were done with the highest quality and care for our health.

Mike Healey and his team were extremely professional and responsive. Provided thorough and reasonable estimates. Always open to discussing/explaining each of the projects including possible alternative approaches. Workmanship was excellent.

When I called for an estimate, the owner sent his skilled finish carpenter to review the project and discuss options for replacing the floor. I appreciated that he arrived exactly on time and took my preferences to heart. He devised a plan to replace the floor on the wrap-around porch without damaging the decorative trim on the posts and the hand-made railings. Of the three companies I arranged to review the project, this was the only one that was willing to approach the floor replacement without removing the posts and railings. I'm delighted with the how careful the workmen were throughout the three-week project, the fact that they cleaned the job site at the end of each day, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. Although the composite decking was expensive and a french drain was added to the project to prevent run-off water from collecting under the ground-level flooring, the final cost was on par with one other estimate and significantly lower than the other. The owner, Michael Healey, came to the job site three times: he reviewed the initial proposal on his first trip, and then came on two other occasions to make sure I was comfortable with the quality of workmanship and the rate of progress. I suspect I would not have received the same personal attention from the other companies that bid on the project. With future construction-related projects, I will need to make only one call - which will be to The Healey Company.

Lester, joe and sheldon we extremely professional and we wouldn't hesitate to have them and the healey company work on our home in the future. Several of our neighbors and family have been pleased with there work as well.

The Healey team was professional throughout. We learned that updating a kitchen versus gutting a kitchen has a ton of challenges and the Healey team walked us through each one as they came up. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. They have all of the experts on staff you could need and listened well when we came up with our own ideas. I couldn't ask for a better kitchen!

Michael Healey and his team completed a great renovation of a small and challenging house. In particular, the Healey Co. helped put together a great layout for the kitchen, including experienced recommendations for cabinets and other features. In addition, they did their best to work within the budget provided, including obtaining some materials for less than expected. Further, the bathroom tile selections and other finishes met the concept I envisioned. And I'd be remiss not to mention the quality of the finish carpentry and the extra wow factor that it added. Overall, I would hire the Healey Company again in a heartbeat and likely will for my next renovation project.

I currently live on the west coast, but came to own a family house in the South Side Slopes. By the time I acquired the house, it had deteriorated and was in very poor condition. As I really wanted to try and keep the house in the family, I realized I needed to find someone who could, at least, stabilize the house and get it into rent-able shape for me, as I would need that income to help pay for the work the place needed.
Because I live so far away, it was especially crucial that I find someone I felt I could count on and trust. I found The Healey Company through Angie's List. They seemed perfect for the job; they are located in the South Side, they have lots of experience with working on old houses in that area, and they could even manage the rental property for me when the house was finished.
I contacted them and soon learned that it was going to take a whole lot more money, and a whole lot more time, to do the job right. I?m a big believer in doing something right the first time, whenever possible, so I took a leap of faith (and took out a sizable loan) and embarked on this project with The Healey Company.
I didn?t know what I was getting myself into, and perhaps The Healey Company didn?t either?taking on a complete novice client like me?but the results far exceed what I had originally envisioned. The house is beautiful and I seriously envy the tenants (the wonderful tenants that The Healey Company found for me) and look forward to someday being able to enjoy the house myself.
Some of the plusses of working with The Healey Company: they guided me every step of the way?from helping me find a good local mortgage lender, to helping me the find insurance to cover the house while it was being renovated (a bank requirement and one of the biggest challenges). They did excellent work, fulfilling my wishes to bring as much light and as much storage space to the house as possible, and essentially turning a crumbling shell of a house into a solid, beautiful home and a credit to the neighborhood. I believe Mike Healey is an honorable person and I feel lucky to have found him and his company. Designer Christine Rider did an amazing job of finding me the best quality finishes and fixtures my budget allowed and I am grateful for her hard work, vision, good communication, and patience.
Some of the minuses of working with The Healey Company: they are not inexpensive, but I believe, in the end, that they earned every penny and I got what I paid for (and probably then some). The project took longer than expected, but I guess with a 100+ year old house, ?surprises? are to be expected. Prompt communication is not Mike Healey?s strong suit. He always got back to me, eventually, but often not as promptly as I would have liked.

They were fine.  They explained things to me.  They were efficient.  I would use them in the future if I needed to.  They came out in sufficient time to do the jobs needed.  They were proficient and professional.  They kind of went the extra yard.
