"As a DYI, I am reluctant to hire contractors however the scope of my home project was well beyond a one man show. I found Saunders Construction on the internet as I pursued seeking bids for the work I needed. George was the ONLY contractor who provided me with a detailed estimate for all aspects of the job. He is very personable and from day one, wanted to ensure the products we chose were the best for the money and not overpriced. He emphasized from the beginning that his #1 concern is a happy customer and ensured that we were satisfied throughout the project. His workers, particularly Scott and Will, were terrific. They respected our home, were very detailed oriented and cleaned up every loose nail, cutting, dust, etc. at the end of each day's work. If I found something that needed correction, it was done immediately. Professionals all the way. I told them upon completion how lucky we felt to have their workmanship on our home. I would have them back in an instant for any future work. Trust me, you will not be disappointed using George Saunders and his team. The only issue we had was getting materials through Home Depot. I will just say we all learned a hard lesson ordering windows via HD. This resulted in a 3 week delay and Mr. Saunders did all he could to expedite the order. HD did not show much customer concern in how they handled our issues."

"After interviewing several contractors, we hired Gleason{ removed company name} contracting for an extensive fireplace renovation and hardwood floor installation project, and we are so glad we did. Mike and his team refaced our oversized brick fireplace with stacked stone, custom cutting, color matching, and fitting the stone throughout perfectly. Work requiring attention to detail, like the interior of wood box, corners, and installing and finishing the drywall accommodations for mounting the tv, look absolutely outstanding. The hearth was so wide that we could not find a precut slab, but Mike had a connection with a stone mason who fabricated a beautiful, singular blue stone slab approximately ten feet in length, solving yet another challenge. In addition to the fireplace place, they laid the flooring, and stayed on to paint the walls and ceilings. During the work, communication was great. We were kept up-to-date on progress and future work plans. Any questions or concerns were thoughtfully addressed, and all work was done with the utmost care and craftsmanship. We highly recommend Gleason { removed company name} Contracting and will definitely use them for our next project."

"Mark did a EXCELLENT job on our kitchen remodel. Our kitchen was old and very dated. He opened up a wall between kitchen and dining room and turned it into open concept. AWESOME results. Took everything down to the studs and turned into a BEAUTIFUL kitchen. We are very pleased with the results. His professionalism was excellent and the job was done on time. He also fixed my downstairs bathroom that another contractor messed up. He will be back soon to do our upstairs bathroom. Really looking forward to that. "Certainly living in St Louis what I paid for all that work. I'm paying that much just to do just a fraction here in St Louis. I would say I was very happy with the cost. He came back 2 days after I asked him to do this. He gave up his whole Saturday for me and I think 14 hours on Monday. He knew I wanted it done for the following weekend and he did. He is just an amazing person. He is the kind of person that you are happy to have in your home. He is just a good man. I would say it's a 5 star service. From the first time I approached him, he immediately got back. He was so responsive. Because I needed so much tile he had to get it from three different locations. He just went above and beyond. Not only to get material with a days notice and put it in within two days notice and worked a 14 hour day to get it done. He had just finished up a project the day before where he wasn't home until late. I just can't say enough about him. He is a great guy. I was a 5 star service. I wish I could bring him to St Louis. He is just amazing, a hard worker, efficient worker. He got so much done. He's very organized. He has all the tools and supplies he needs. He's not wasting a lot of time getting ready. With cutting the tile and stuff like that he just did a great job. He never made mistakes miscutting something. He was so good. He didn't waste the tile."
